s more money so more professional players

STG£500,000 for the winner of the 2019 PDC World Championship, starts on Sky sports next Thurs - 13th. Field expanded to 96 with £7,500 for losing in Round 1 - Top 32 got straight to Round 2 so guaranteed £15,000. Under the new regime two women (Lisa Ashton and the once pretty Russian bird that played in it a few years back) will compete without being subsequently banned from the BDO Ladies World Championship that starts in January, staying in the Lakeside thanks to a deal with Eurosport and Discovery. Plenty to look forward to...

The Russian bird is still the best of them......just a tad porky. I'd tear her Matryoshkas off anyway.

Just watching Lisa Ashton playing in the BDO Finders Masters or some such - live and exclusive on https://www.sportvideos.tv/finder-darts-masters-livestream-2/ - playing better than a lot of the men in the PDC!

Plays Doubles Dekker in the first round of the WC, if she gets the better of him he won't live it down!

You have that Sky Go app, Rats? Thinking of using my brother's account to install it on the tablet just to watch the Ally Pally.

No. I use IPTV. Paid c.€42.50 for a year sub from cccambox last December. Sub works on any device - but only one at a time - which suits because I use it on my zGemma box to watch in the living room, on my Android box to record (via IPTV Extreme app) and can Chromecast it from my Android phone to the Kitchen, Bedroom or Study Gym clothes drying room via IPTV Extreme (using VLC player) when Mrs. Catcher unreasonably objects to watching darts all day every day... All starts tomorrow with Sky Sports Arena rebranded as Sky Sports Darts from midnight tonight... fuck the bonuses, there's darts on telly!

You having a few notes on Mensur, LL? He's in the right half of the draw so is probably reasonable value at c25/1. I think I'll have a score on Smith (c.16/1) to go with the score I already have on Price at 80/1... and a fiver on each of Lennon and Burton (both 1000/1). Gurney could be value too at c.31/1 now that he knows he can beat van Gerwen on the big stage!

75/1 Adrian Lewis is tempting, too. FFS, I'll have a night's takings "invested" if I keep looking at it!

I'll throw my usual fiver on 2 or 3 dark horses. Would be a little concerned that Mensur has been off the TV stage for a bit now. When you were embroiled in the Minehead frolics, did you notice how improved Bunting is as a player? He bottled it in the 1/4's, but he might just be on the up.

I don't think I was ever great at it but I've certainly got worse with age, the eyesight deteriorates. However, it's still a bit of a buzz to beat far better players every once in a while, I guess.
