Flag Prebook
« on: December 06, 2018, 01:22:56 pm »
Email from Flag:

Hi Stephen,

Pre-Book Jobs : Drivers have been asking us to launch the pre-book feature. Its a difficult time of year to turn a new feature live but due to driver and customer demand we are going to be doing a beta test to look at coverage. We are going to use a simple messaging system to let drivers see prebook jobs. During this trial all pre-books will be commission free. Opt in if you would like to be notified to view pre-booked work.

Since our big push different companies have contacted us and we have given put many discounts. This weekend we are catering for the staff of Survey Monkey(this time you don't have to answer questions just take the work) We will also be opening these jobs up on our instant messaging to provide a good service for their staff.

App Update :
Here is what our latest version of the app looks like. There was some confusion about busy and free. Green means you are 'free' and available for orders, Red means you are 'busy'. This is now live on iOS and soon to be live on android.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

I remember when Hailo started out and a guy in the Test Centre was telling me that I must sign up , could not quite figure out why 1 man would want to share his cake with me.

Eventually sunk in that the more that join up the better the service on offer for the Punters which naturally transmits to more positive referrals and more work for the drivers .

This in turn may start a war between MyBolx and Flag and the drivers can only benefit in the long run.

It seems to be picking up. I worked 4.73 hours on Saturday and got an offer but I was on a mytaxi job at the time. Got two offers on Monday during the course of a 4.1 hour shift, one was too far away and I was on a mytaxi job for the other. I got an offer on Tuesday night as well, 3.8 hour shift but again I was on a mytaxi job at the time. I actually went for a pint up above in Dublin last night with a colleague/competitor. I had intended putting the app on in the bar to clock up some hours just in case I qualify for the bonus (which I doubt) but I forgot about it.

SMS received:

Thanks to the drivers that opted in via email to our beta pre-book system.  To trial coverage jobs will be listed in a one sided WhatsApp group chat for jobs only. This is managed by our support team temporarily til we open up prebook on the app. If you haven't opted in via email just WhatsApp [number removed] saying 'add me' before we start offering these 0% commission fares. Thank you

2nd SMS:
Correction - Flag trial pre-book number : 0830661824. For password reset for the Flag driver app please check junk mail or get in touch.

Said it before that the communication from them is very poor. Is anyone checking the messages before they are sent?   Looks very unprofessional and can’t help but feel that flag are hanging by a thread.. hope I am wrong but last job offer I received from them was March 17th.

It looks like they took the erm up on his offer to manage the firm. I've had a few offers in the last week but I'm not hugely encouraged, particularly given that they have (and I quote) "given put many discounts"... One would expect a far higher volume if fares are discounted in the current economic climate. However, I hope it grows legs, we need competition in the PPJ dispatch market.

Got about 10 offers tonite.... One was in spitting distance....

Ide like to see them darken the app.... The map is too bright or maybe I don't know how settings work maybe... Otherwise its better than mytaxi ...

Mytaxi app is incredibly still flawed.... Seized again tonite  multiple times
If I cancel a job it wants me to type an explanation so i can go available again ..... At 60 kmph I don't want to be explaining meself  and I ain't fukin stoppin too either...
.... Got an email saying to ignore the lack of priority title on jobs...
.....

Anyway... Seen a drunk mot Puke all over a blokes taxi an I bottled it an fuked off home.... Carrots all down his window....
Poor cnut

I always keep a 2 liter bottle of water in the boot for such eventualities.
I was parked up on the side of the road tonight and I heard a car screaming towards me.
I looked back down and then there was a thud against the side of the car as it passed.
cunts nailed me with an egg.
