Here is a thought .The Irish Government and the Brits issue National ID cards that allow free entry at the border after they fir a barrier like the old one at the toll bridge on the M50 .That guarentees free movement on the Island and on line customs clearance .Problem Solved .And big brother in control .

An Taoiseach mentioned the need to manually inspect all goods/produce crossing the border to ensure it meets EU regulations. That's particularly relevant where livestock or foodstuff is concerned. Plenty of jobs for Dept of Agriculture inspectors, I guess. A while back Bertie suggested a blind eye approach where free movement is maintained with minimal physical checks carried out. The solution may lie in a combination of the two.

From the British perspective, Mr. Rees-Mogg hit the nail on the head a little while back. All they need to do is nothing, just tell the EU they're happy enough for goods/produce to move freely into Britain from ROI.

Brilliant stroke if theydid then its up to the Gay Foreigner and his buddies in the EU to come up with a solution for goods coming the other way .

Dollymount they cant drop the backstop end of and thats the problem that cannot be solved .Either the UK ignores the Belfast Agreement or the EU ignores The Good Friday Agreement .The EU are pressuring the UK so that the EU are not the ones that break the agreement .Its first to blink and the Brits wont blink .The EU hoped by pushing the Backstop they would force the Brits to stay in but the Brits might just leave and then its fuck you time for the EU .If Leobacks down the New IRA will shoot him stone dead as a TRAITOR .Britain has been pushed into a corner I cannot see them backing down its not what they do If it was the French they would squeel like pigs appologise and beg for forgiveness as I said watch the Germans they will decide the outcome .Probably decide to grant the UK access to the free market until there is a final deal .That keeps both sides in the status quo until there is a deal.

I know you dont agree, but I still see the biggest threat to the EUs very existence coming from France in the event of time.you dont accept Le Penn has a chamce in hell of ever being elected you have said many times.but with the pressure Macron is under to resign at the moment, and Le Pen leading the polls currently, you have to admit there is a chance.if she does get elected ,she will ballot for a French withdrawal, and she wont be faced with the same problems with any backstop

If at some stage in the future, the EU collapsed (and I hope it does ) what would be the case with all the money we owe them would we still have to pay it back ?

There is no such thing as the ECB it is if you like an off balance sheet vehicle like NAMA most of the government bonds they hold are worthless >If the EU goes tits up then the German banks who bankrolled the ECB lose everything .Unlike America who can defend the Dollar with an army if you dont repay the ECB they will send you a strongly worded letter .On Le Pen at the moment she has 13% support in France she was so unelectable that the French opted for a totally unknown and his party last time ,Next election in france willsee the return of the old guard .As I tried to explain protest parties only get 1 shot at it .Like Gallagher in the Presidential 8 years ago or Casey he hasent a chance of winning a European seat .You have seen it in Ireland Workers Party ,Aintoch Eireann,Greens who once had 5 seats even Labour who once had 31 seats Even Dessie O Malleys crowd had enough seats to go into government they were wiped out .Its just the way politics is when people think the extremes can get power they vote against them.

Actually  there is no such thing as  the Euro or the E.U  or the left  or the right or democracy or society or Eire  or equality  or or any of that  nonsense ..
this is all just a way of dividing and subdividing everyone  and conquering and setting people against each other upon any lines they can come up with .
