Taximen -vs- taxi drivers... I wouldn't take a child's pram out without a spare.

My car is modern, Watty. It's an oh16 FFS... and it has a full size spare wheel.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Yis should buy a plug kit.I had two punctures in the last week. It's faster to fix it than take off the wheel and drop it in to get fixed.Ive considered leaving my spare at home as I never need it.

Tyre was fucked last time I got a puncture... and the time before that... can't remember the last repairable one I got. Who sells these kits anyway, could be next year's post-Xmas gifts sorted. I'd imagine it's just a few plugs and a bradawl?

The one I bought was from Ebay years ago.I'm sure you can buy them here for five times the price. Some stuff I've read says that they're only temporary solutions but I've never had one fail.I've used it over ten times so far.

^^^^^^STC it's almost always a wood screw. You pull it out with a pliers and bore the hole out with the tool then insert the rubber yoke, that needs a bit of muscle, then cut the surplus off with the Stanley that's included.Just did one this morning.

As far as I know there are no plugs,or bradalls involved .you simply put the nozzle of the tin over the valve where tou put in the air,and the white foam inside the tin just plugs the puncture till you get to a reppair shop

That's the can, DM. I got one of them for post-Xmas this year... It's the plug kit that MfH is on about that I was referring to.

I just got fed up with the tyre shops saying they're too busy or drop back later. At least now I won't have to put the yellow space saver on.

Oh yeah forgot to mention the compressor!I got one out of a Maxol for less than a tenner a few years ago.I have had limited success with the sealant foam in the past.

Ok MFH I understand had this done many a times, BUT what about when it don't fall in to the "Almost Always" category, how you find the hole if the screw don't exist ?

Bring it to Glen or Collin.

^^^^^I had a hole once with nothing stuck in it.To find it I poured water(volvic)over the tyre whilst pumping it up with the compressor to find the bubbles.Just like putting a bicycle tube in a basin.
