have a small e/w bet sizing potzie  multilee and pencil .The one in the first was beaten at odds on last time as well .1/10 in running .if you have the disiplin there is some value opposing the really short priced ones .

Went weak in the market in the end when they came for the fav which was a concern. They crawled in the race until the last 3 furlongs which might not have suited.

Watched a bit of it on Eurosport over the weekend. It's not the same without little Richard (Ashdown)... even Winmau have abandoned them... and still no confirmation/discussion of prize money from the TV presenters... and hardly a ticket sold, rumour has it that they even struggled to give them away to the Counties, them Northerners don't like change or that London apparently!

Silly move when all considered...........it's their final yr. Hearn has been promoting Sherrock from Milton Keynes big-time...all about the lesbian/feminazi dollar now with that ruthless pox (Hearn).....Even Billy-Jean singing her praises on Grindr. Of course, her heterosexuality (proven with a sprog) not withstanding.

Not sure that bringing her around the world is his best ever decision. For the most part the World Series (or whatever it's called) is aimed at developing the game in foreign climes. Showing or telling men that they can't even compete with British women and the like is hardly going to encourage them?

How cruel time and fate can be.......lest we forget only for the BDO there'd be no PDC. Hearn has an uncanny ability to mass-produce or "Chinafy" every game he touches. Even the genius, Ronnie the Rocket, has said he's "roofless, a proper Kant and a farquin' Barra Boy".

Indeed, there's still some decent darts/players in it. Disappointing result for Cork's John O'Shea last night, losing 3-2... I didn't watch it, kinda assumed he'd win at odds of 1/3... that was the only Irish interest, unfortunately.

A girl from Darndale worked the Leperstown festival.
She said Willie Mullins was one hungry Cunt.
€7.95 for lunch, handed over €8.00 and waited for the change.

Same thing the following day, except he only had €7.90 in change.
The food till made €6.00 tips over three days.

One oul Cunt paid €500 for a bottle of Nolly and at the end of the day gave a €2 tip.

You hear all sorts from people about others in the course of a lifetime....heard that Ruby Walsh was a right uptight aul bollicks too until I met him in a jacks in Monasterevin (by accident, just in case). He mocked himself for the entire 30 secs he was urinating. Didn't they say the same about Tommy Cooper and Benny Hill?.......most of their money was spent on others in need it turned out?

Did you see him (Ruby) in the debate with McCririck back when he opposed Gambling and viewed bookmakers as the parasites they are? That was before he became the poster boy for parasite extraordinaire, Paddypower.com.
Ruby was always Two-faced, he used to come to Cork every year fer the Cheltenham preview night, pick out his new suit from Saville in the afternoon, stay at a luxury hotel and get his Monkey appearance money all paid by the Bookie who was sponsoring the night and then slag off the bookies from the top table whilst telling the audience a load of lies about his upcoming rides at the festival.

Annie power despite hearing all the millions of theories about what happened, I have never managed to get my head around it.

Fer me it is one of life's mysteries, Ruby seemed to have the horse in stride and took her to the front at the correct time and was straight on fer the final hurdle, he could have held her back or got in to trouble within the field but he didn't.
Realistically the figure won or lost on Annie Power was in the Billions if you take all the online betting in to account.
Why would he ride such a great race on the horse and then Pull her at the final hurdle ?
I reckon Ruby will take the truth to the grave with him !

Are yis for real lads?Horse racing is about as spontaneous as the WWE and much less entertaining.Completely fixed.Only a moron would bet unless you're getting good insider info. And I doubt anyone on here could afford to be in the company of good horse tippers.Get up the yard.

I was doing alright a few years back with no insider info... all I had was an app that found the best prices on horses it thought had a better chance than the odds dictated. I was only foiled by most of the bookmakers closing my accounts... fucking parasites.

Taking advantage of their poor maths is a different story I suppose.Just betting because you got a tip off a bloke at the bar is lunacy.Genuine tips cost hundreds of euro from what I've been told.

If there was no jockeys maybe it would be more predictable and honest. But without someone whipping the poor bastards then you'd struggle to get the horses to complete a lap with enthusiasm...

You're right to be sceptical. As my project of a few years back proved it's against the rules to win or, as Paddypower poster boy Ruby Walsh put it, punters bet to make bookmakers rich.

Wayned Warren playing the trained chimp now - live on Quest. Reminds me of his post match interview last year or the year before.. your woman asks if he pays any attention to averages and he responds, in his wonderful Welsh accent, do I bollox... before being reminded it was a live TV interview!

Tipster services work on a rotation basis...Rats, Liffey Lip and John M get horses 1, 2, 3 respectively in a 16 horse handicap. All are advised to back their horse ew...chances are one of them is placed. Rats, Liffey Lip and John M aren't aware that horses 4 to 16 inclusive are distributed equally amongst the premium payers for said tips. One of them is a certain winner....he tells 3 more mugs after he wins 2 from 4.....the exponential domino keeps falling...racket is right. Best policy of all is to stick to one nag you know is knocking on the door and keep backing the useless bastard until it wins.

There's no hookier sports than this but in my opinion the horse just fell as it took off a full stride too early.Way too dangerous to try anything like that, could have crippled/killed himself or the horse or both.Going full pelt into the flight like  particularly as we knew Ruby was near the end of his career even back then.
There's way easier ways of cuntbaggery where stopping horses is concerned without something as perilous as that.

Ruby was a wreckless devious cunt liked to wait to take it up between the last two fences or hurdles trying to fool the handicapper .Was brought up to be a mucksavage low life scheming jockey like his oul man .I would bet he fell off more horses at the last fence than any other fence on the racecourse .I agree Annie Power just got it wrong if you wanted to stop her all you had to do was feed her plenty of Grass on raceday bloat her out no chance of injuring her .

90 lids per person, per day as opposed to 240 lids per table for the weekend at the PDC events....that's what I read somewhere. Regardless, the death knell has tolled for the BDO. London is one expensive kip to go out in or even to get a decent meal.

Our own Keane Barry contests the Youth Final tomorrow (Sat) afternoon.

Seems the prize money has been cut again:

CHEQUE OUT Skint BDO chiefs slash World Darts Championship winning prize money from £100,000 to just £23,000 as problems mount

Rob Maul
9 Jan 2020, 15:59 Updated: 10 Jan 2020, 0:49

CASH-STRAPPED BDO chiefs are preparing to slash the Indigo champion’s prize money up to a whopping £77,000!

And this could open the door for a series of legal challenges from angry darts stars.

Glen Durrant, 49, earned £100,000 for lifting the BDO world darts trophy at Lakeside in January 2019.

However, several BDO players fear they will receive a minimum of just £23,000 for becoming the 2020 world champion on Sunday.

It is also believed the runner-up will get £10,000 – down by £25,000 from 12 months ago – and semi-finalists will pick up just £5,000.

SunSport has approached BDO chairman Des Jacklin for comment but these figures have been confirmed by a number of disillusioned stars.

Dean Winstanley, the 2011 BDO world finalist, wrote on Facebook that he had been told it would be £50,000 -- which is still a 50% reduction.

The women’s prize fund was supposed to be a world record £20,000 but it has been slashed to £8,000.

The BDO is struggling financially following poor tickets sales and rising TV production costs.

It is expected this will be the last world championship in its current guise.

A leading Dutch TV production company claims the BDO have not paid them for broadcasting the disastrous 2019 World Masters.

The 1:1 Producties company have started legal proceedings to reclaim more than £20,000 in unpaid money from the doomed BDO.

The Dutch firm organised the TV broadcast, presenters, make-up artists, sound directors and travel details for the event at Purfleet last October.

According to 1:1 Producties, Jacklin responded in writing to say he “hopes” to pay them after the Indigo World Darts championships.

Owner Erwin Beenhakker, who has worked in TV for 30 years, told SunSport: “This is unacceptable. This is a lot of money.

“The BDO are in financial difficulty. I’ve had clients in the past who were at a similar point but as long as you keep talking and be honest and open then I’m willing to find a way to help each other.

“I’m not abandoning the BDO but as long as Des Jacklin is chairman of the BDO I won’t do business with them again.”

The WDF withdrew its governing body support for the BDO after the chaotic World Masters, which involved a re-draw once the event had started.

Who'd take the bet? It's not unheard of for them to agree a split of prize money... Taylor and Priestly famously agreed to share their winnings for a period when the PDC (then WDC) was set up. At that time Priestly would have been thought to be the generous party to that agreement but (perhaps appropriately) he ended up being the beneficiary...but then BDO haven't said what, if any, prize money is in place tonight.

A bit tired and emotional alright. Is he good enough to get through Q school? Waites didn't manage it last year. It is a shame that the BDO is in such a mess, they have good players (I'd watch Waites and Mitchell any day) who probably prefer to be semi-pro or amateur. Williams might be a better prospect for the PDC, his darts just look so messy when they hit the board and he rushes and jabs and stabs, basically a great example to any kid of how you shouldn't throw... a bit of refinement and he could be another great Welsh player... as if the world needs more great Welsh players!

Didn't know Waites tried. Surprised he didn't make it as he's normally very composed. Durrant barely qualified too if I remember correctly, his opponent  having 3 missed attempts at a double to send him home. Williams would make it with his relative youth etc....think Scotty is a farmer so he'd be hard-pressed to travel the world in a Samsonite while the wife does the dirty job at home. The format is confusing they say........have never been that much interested but Price managed to come through it from nowhere so Williams should be capable...he needs to toughen up a bit though...seems rather timid at times. Think Mitvhell was just lashing out at the organisers in his own way...the BDO appointed the wrong man to take charge it seems.

Yeah Waites tried last year but (at least gave the impression that) it was a half hearted attempt, just because it was allowed for the first time... said he hadn't decided how or even if he'd use his tour card if he had got one... they've got a few women to compete with this year too, Mikuru, Fallon and Lisa Ashton are all having a go I think.

There are some benefits to trying and failing, BTW. The brother was trying to explain it to me when I was full in Minehead so I only really got the gist rather than specifics. As I understand it you pay 4 ton odd and that includes PDPA membership which, in turn, entitles you to play in development tour events, restricted UK Open qualifiers and you could get to make up the numbers in some other tournaments as well.

Bobby "diamond geezer" George was giving out about that, sort of, in his own way. He made reference to women being under more pressure to tour with them "Avin' to look arftur kiddies and the 'Usband". He got away with it because of his recent health issues and Wayne Mardle covering in the background. Sometimes, I think certain men are oblivious to what's going on around them.

Might be the wrong video but I watched it recently.......out there somewhere.

No joy for Jim Williams, Scott Mitchell or young Keane Barry at Q School, Barry losing to Scott Waites in a tour card decider. Wesley Harms and Andy Hamilton are among the qualifiers with Lisa Ashton just about scraping in to make history as the first woman to get through Q School. Cork's Ciaran Teehan got his tour card as a development tour qualifier, might shake up the competition among Irish players as the season progresses.
