Dublin taxi driver allegedly dragged passenger out of cab and kicked him
Vadim Chtchipakine (46) is accused of attacking the man after getting into an argument with him as he drove him home.
A taxi driver dragged a passenger out of his cab, kicked him about the body and drove off, leaving him injured on the side of the road, it is alleged.
Vadim Chtchipakine (46) is accused of attacking the man after getting into an argument with him as he drove him home.
He is facing trial after a judge ruled the case was too serious to be dealt with at district court level.
Judge David McHugh adjourned the case at Blanchardstown District Court for further DPP directions to be given.
Mr Chtchipakine, of Mount Seskin Road, Saggart, is charged with assault causing harm to the man at Callighstown, Rathcoole, on October 8, 2022.
Garda Sergeant Walter Sweeney said the alleged victim ordered a taxi from Rathcoole village to his home at 4am and during the journey, it was alleged, the accused argued with him
Mr Chtchipakine exited, approached the passenger side, opened the door and pulled the man out of the taxi, Sgt Sweeney alleged.
Mr Chtchipakine allegedly threw the passenger to the ground and kicked him to the body and arms several times. He then got back into the taxi and drove away. The alleged victim suffered bruising and swelling to his body and arms.
A medical report submitted to the court stated that the man had sustained a large haematoma to his forearm and underwent surgery.
He also had swelling to his right knee and complained of difficulty walking or moving his arm after the alleged assault.
He reported that the injuries were as a result of him being dragged from a taxi and kicked on the ground.
The DPP consented to the case being dealt with in the district court but Judge McHugh refused jurisdiction.
He adjourned the case to a date in July for the further consideration of the DPP.

I'ld say that he will be lucky to avoid at least 6 months porridge, and/or retain his licence. He would be well advised to bring at least €2k-€3k to court.

I mistook a Ukrainian for a German lately.
Also I asked a customer who I met a few times if she was Polish, she was Lithuanian and was really pissed off i asked her that, I said to her who cares? People in Germany thought I was English and I didnt give a $hit. Then she told me she hates the Polish, she asked me out then a few minutes later but I declined, I hate negative aggressive women like that.

Hardly always, just the odd time. im just too friendly with some people and they think I fancy them.
some people love taxi drivers for some reason, that is why they tell us their life story after a few minutes of meeting them, like we are their Therapist.

You're allowed use reasonable force to eject a client who refuses to get out.... but the judiciary do tend to be quite tough on immigrants. He'd be best advised to hire a white Irish by accident of birth solicitor.

Yes, know a guy (17 at the time) who, with another guy, was involved in an unprovoked assault afer a refused request for a cigarette. The victim (late 40s) spent 5 days in hospital, but no surgery. The 17 year old got 2 years with 8 months suspended, and was released with 25% remission after serving 12 months. The €1k he brought to court was accepted by the victim, as was the €2k his co defendant brought.

Circuit Court can award up to €75,000 in compensation. If the criminal case is dealt with in Circuit and he`s found guilty, he could be in financial trouble. The sitting (District Court) judge refused jurisdiction ergo, it should get kicked up to Circuit.
A taxi driver had to pay out €30,000 about 15 years back to 3 shams he put manners on. Knew him well , lovely guy but not a man to be messed with. .

Central Criminal is a High Court . Very unusual to deal with a District court offence there. €1 and €2k amounts are definitely within District Court scope of damages.

Are there any Irish homeless that need to be homeless? and im not talking about the families in hotels who keep having kids even though they havent a job between them. I know someone who was sleeping in minus 7 degrees on the street and had to be dragged into a house before she died, she was offered lots of accommodation but refused it all, she wasnt well in the head like a lot of Irish homeless.
