I woke late at 8am fer me last Suitability test a few weeks ago, the test was in 30 minutes time at 8.30am.
Outta the pit and made myself respectable within 10 minutes and out the door with nothing at all done or checked in the cab.
Not knowing how bad the morning traffic might be over to the test centre, I drove on thankfully making it with 8 minutes to spare.
I pulled in at some lorry lay-by 200 meters before the test centre because the car was well 'Job worn' from a few previous night's work.
I set about it with me tools from the boot, taking out the floor mats and scrubbing them off and brushing all the dirt in to the middle where it would be hidden by the mats when replaced.
Next was the Dettol surface cleaner to whatever badly needed wiping down and all wiped off with wet wipes.
All done and arrived at test centre 3 minutes early and made myself known to the staff.
I still hadn't tackled the boot cos there was stuff in there that I didn't want anyone AT ALL to ever see !
Firstly, I pulled out me Top old First aid kit (most if not all out-of-date) and hid that, then I pulled out me nua 'Hal' sealed First aid kit from it's clean bag fer annual display, and put all the other bits and pieces on display too, thankfully the 12-year-old fire extinguisher was still in the Green, and then I hid what was not to be seen under newspapers and covers.
Quietly confident I sparked up a Johnnie blue outside watching as it passed easily...... PHEW !!
