He is talking out his hole, hasn't a clue about the taxi game especially with older people, putting their shopping in and bringing it to the front door, and down private roads that the google car can't go near. House moves, and there are people out there that cannot open the boot looking for the release on there knees before I have a chance to get out, I had one girl waving her foot under the back of the car wondering why the boot wouldn't open. And what about the devilment the young ones will get up to confusing the robot taxi leave a football at the front and a bike at the back and watch what happens.....nothing it will go to sleep and somebody will have to come out to retrieve it, it will be fun messing with them.

Not to mention a terrorist using a fake ID and sending a bomb in an autonomous taxi up to a military base or Govt offices  oops
Getting old is compulsory whilst growing up is voluntary.

Really?first time I heard that.Uber is a side show IMO.They've started running tv ads on Uk telly to make it out they're safe.I wouldn't underestimate Musk as he's doing shit ten years ahead of all the other manufacturers. He's the only one building vehicles with the software that can be updated over the air AFAIK.So the base cars he sells can do all the autonomy stuff but just need to be enabled.

This car will be in Ireland in a few months for maybe 40k.It won't be like the vid but unlocking the software is only a matter of bribing the right ministers.

Yea but Mr musk lives in the future....... That yoke won't last 30 seconds drivin thru darndale.... Can ya imagine that poor cuntin robot drivin back at nite up the n 32.... And the cream crackers runnin in front of it to stop it... And melting it down in a few hours gettin the copper out of it.....

The robot can't be trained in evasive driving... It can't be trained to recognise simian retro inbreds from the dark ages....

Maybe that's we'r well all end up.drivin to the kips .. Cause the robots be givin all the cream jobs to the airport wen elan and mytaxi go into partnership and the robots get all the ambassador jobs 30 seconds in advance and the former ambassador human scum be driving misses Joyce to the halting site from tesco clarehall.... And the the former ambassador be all wearin balaclavas like the new IRA  and out at nite sabotaging the robots....
Poor cnuts

It starts off as a luxury vehicle feature then people start drink driving and allowing the car to bring them home. It's still a good bit away but I reckon statistically the robot taxi would be much safer than us.(I really mean yous. especially Bob.S..).They could always build them vandal proof like the Securicor vans and paint them pink.

Who would have thought Toyota would ever make their safety sense feature standard on all new models.Anything that can keep ya in lane or apply your brakes is semi robot already. They're just getting us used to the tech so them and Uber can worm their way in to being allowed to run them fully autonomous IMO.

How would the Robot know/Cope with someone doing a puke in the back ?

It would probably charge your credit card 250 notes at go back to the depot to be cleaned by some robot cleaner.

I dunno if this vid is interesting for yis but forward 2 mins in to see the juicy stuff inside the tesla that collects the data and video of yer driving.

Driverless motors don't need the net.Why do ya think they've got so many sensors.

Would the sensors sense a creamer ?

Personally I dont think they will happen .What we are hearing is noise trying to drum up sales of shares not cars .Tesla are heamoraging money never made a profit with their electric cars same for lyft and UBER what they sell is tradeable share cirtificates this is just the latest tech bubble .Great example are two year old horses about 500 of them are bread towin the big four races and head off to stud and make millions the rest get their balls cut off and jump fences or go to the dog food factory

This is a few years away. You won't be able to book a taxi without a credit card. When the robot taxi moisture detector noticed the piss stain on the seat they'll send your boss the video if ya complain or stick ya up on Facebook.
