Tesla joins Uber in losing $700 million in 3 months...

Tesla lost $702 million last quarter after drop in Model 3 deliveries

Quote
Tesla lost $702 million in the first quarter of 2019, after posting back-to-back profits for the first time ever to finish out 2018, the company announced in an official filing Wednesday. CEO Elon Musk had predicted Tesla would slide back into the red on a February 28th call with the media. Telsa generated $4.5 billion in revenue for the quarter, which is down from $7.2 billion in the previous quarter, but up from $2.6 billion in the first quarter of 2018.

The company also announced it doesn’t expect to turn a profit in the second quarter, either. Musk had previously guessed that Tesla would return to profitability for good starting this quarter. The $702 million loss was the company’s fourth-worst quarterly loss since it became publicly traded in 2010.

“Everyone expected a Q1 loss for Tesla, but nobody expected it to be this big,” Karl Brauer, the executive publisher at Kelley Blue Book and Autotrader, said in a statement.

Uber /Lynk/Tesla /Spotify/Snap / ALL exist to generate shares their business is selling shares not making money .All of these shares sort of work like .You plant an acorn that can grow into a great oak tree and that oak tree will then be turned into a nice piece of expensive furniture .So when they price the shares they reach that valuation based on the sale of the furniture in the future but what they really offer is Acorns .Some of the Acorns will grow and furniture will be made but most of the Acorns wont germanate and you lose your investment .If you think about it Tesla have sold hundreds of Millions more shares than cars .

I think yis might take Tesla more seriously when the 35/40k model 3 starts appearing on our roads everywhere instead of the Audis, beemers and Mercs. These cars will be eligible for the grants so ya might see a few taxi drivers buying them(maybe I'll buy one). All collecting data and video for the Autobot program.

This is my taking on Electric cars and why they will never take over .First Big Oil the American economy is based on Oil .The rare earths needed to build the Battery cells are controled by China so until China starts to build and export electric cars they are not viable and America wont and Europe wont regulate fossilfueled vehicles off the road .We might see laws to force busses and taxies and other vehicles owned or operated by the state going Battery just to keep the Hippy Mung Bean munching Sandal Wearing Tree Huggers off their backs .Tesla have failed to deliver the more expensive cars so why would they be any better at producing cheaper ones .

They're delivering the promised 35k model right now in the US.But there a base Corrolla costs only 19k so and fuel is still a quarter of what we pay.I've had passengers in the taxi who paid deposits ages ago.

You say they are delivering but then you say deposits paid AGES AGO .Tesla cannot deliver thats the problem .They are collecting deposits on a promise to finance their day to day costs .Yearsago bookies would offer big odds on the Premier League to win market at the start of the season and they would then have your stake money for 9 months before they needed to pay the winners .Tesla are delivering less than 30% of what they promise .They are a Ponzy schems just there to sell shares not cars ,.Look at their share price in a booming US market their share price has dropped from 350 to 250 over 4 months   https://www.google.ie/search?source=hp&ei=gNvCXOPMC96c1fAPnvq9sAo&q=tesla+share+price+history&oq=tesla+share+price&gs_l=psy-ab.1.2.0i131i70i250j0l9.2943.9651..15521...0.0..0.275.1603.11j5j1......0....1..gws-wiz.....0..0i131.omYsceaOAnk  .

There are enough saps who adore Tesla to make them successful.I don't pay any attention to the hype. The fact is they're putting cars on our roads that many people want to buy that are better than existing manufacturers offerings.Who knows maybe they'll be bought by Daimler, VW,Ford or Apple. They already take parts from the Mercedes parts bin to build their cars.Could go any way.

Musk is the new Barnam he is a showman best salesman in the world .Loved when he said he had arab investors willing to buy the whole company .Why would somebody who makes their money selling oil want to promote the competition .PS he was spoofing .Think his latest scheme is selling one way trips to Mars .

But when they got out on the Link roads by night against a D4 Fookin D Toyota Avensis 2 Litre Turbo Injection, then things never went their way ! EVER !!
