We are introducing terms for our Match service. Where we make this service available, it allows passengers to share a licensed taxi with other passengers who are travelling in the same direction and split the cost. The Match service is optional to our passengers and is currently only available in Limerick.


What is this, ridesharing by the back door? I had thought that ridesharing is not possible under current SPSV regulations?

I see MT have altered t and c for payment of scrub fee--"Customer has cancelled 5 minutes after the driver has arrived !"
As I see it they were not the t and c I signed up for so I will still expect to be paid --newbie liable though !
All firms over the years allowed "no contact "charges--ie (p/u and meter read) on account jobs,these "friends of the taxi industry"think otherwise now!
I would say an increase in commission and penalties for being bold are on the way --

If i've waited 5 minutes and rang them in the meantime...i'll be cancelling and applying the scrub fee, i won't be waiting for any customer to cancel....the annoying thing about their new idea is even if you've driven for a few minutes to the pickup point and hit arrived then wait over two minutes and the passenger cancels you won't see a cent of the €5 cancellation fee.

Only a few years ago we used to get the scrub as long as we pressed arrived at the correct location.Now the system rewards you with an immediate job.Anyone else notice this?The app always tries to send you another just as yer applying for the scrub fee.Then you have to go back into the app and type all the gick in again.

So wen a husband and wife both order a taxi seperatly cause they late for their lunchin appointment and take the first one that arrives cause they're two divas and don't give a fuk abou your time and then they don't cancel and leave it up to you and you have to cancel on the cunts behalf or you won't be able to use the app.... And after all them 2 cunts costing yu time your going to be charges charged ( fined) aswell?

I read the news on this yesterday afternoon and mulled over it fer a bit wondering wheter it was a good or bad thing ?
Then last night (Student end of exams celebrations) I had 5 or 6 no-shows or cancellations in Four hours and then I thought; 'Fookit, the cancellation criteria might put some manners on them !".
What seems to be happening a lot is that when folk are ready to go they hail a cab on the app then stand out on the street hailing any cab  passing knowing they will the get the flagdown fer 2Euro cheaper and not be penalized by MyTaxi fer cancelling.
