Started off on a "Cut Down" not a diet about 5 weeks ago, cutting out eating junk and late at nite, Butter on 1 side of brown bread sambo, porridge in morning, lots of fruit/salads and try to get a 1/2 walk a day (not easy).

After 1st 4.5 weeks I had dropped 10lbs.

Remember treats are called treats because that is what they are meaning you don't get 1 every day.

Anyway off to Kenmare next Sunday for 5 days , think I've built enuf "lost Lbs" to let myself go a bit.

Hal try this :

Certainly, you have heard the phrase Hug a Tree before, but have you ever taken a moment out of your day to actually do this? Although some trees, like people, are more huggable than others, they all need a hug now and again. The Earth is our mother. Mother Nature has much to teach us. It is from her womb that we are nurtured and healed. Hugging a tree is perhaps the easiest way to embrace mother nature.

Ten Steps for Getting to Know and Hugging a Tree

1. Find yourself a quiet park, forest, or woodland area.
2. Walk among the trees until you feel comfortable in their presence.
3. Feel the different bark textures with the palms of your hands.
4. Smell the scent of the various woods.
5. Absorb their life's energies as you look upwards to the sprawling branches overhead.
6. Find the perfect tree that fits your mood. You will know which one is right for you.
7. Speak softly to the tree verbally or communicate with it using telepathy.
8. Vertical Tree Hug: Encircle it with your arms while gently pressing your cheek to the trunk being careful not to scratch your face. Squeeze tightly. Sigh deeply. Be one with your tree.
9. Full Body Tree Hug: Sit upon the ground wrapping your legs around the base of the tree and at the same time embracing it with your arms.
10. Up in the Air Tree Hug: Climb a tree. Sit upon a strong limb and straddle it with your legs. Bend forward and place your belly against it while wrapping your arms around it

But remember, please no Peeing or dumping on the trees

Get yurself a fold up bike john.... And do an hour in the phoenix Park every day......
If yur out in West Dublin in urban cement land it's probably not a very nice experience walking around estates.... But I f you walk around the park it does great tings for the mind aswell....
I did me mornin walk yesterday morning and I did a rare day shift.... I even did rush hour which terrifies me.......i can see how
Day work is booming.... 3 airport runs I got from town off the street not with mytaxi and bout 5 other tenner jobs......
I'm going out now to try it again.... The evenings there's too many taxis ambassadors robbin everything and too many taxis out...... Anyway I was home for 7 an went out did bout 10 k on the roller blades.......
Problem with day work is I cud see blokes finnished day work an off to the pub out of boredom every night.... And no exercise....
.....it's a killer.... Yur going die yung
Brought a nice lady home last week and she said her taxi driver neighbour had died in his sleep Cople weeks ago..... Early 50s.... Apparently tho she said he was into fitness...... Also a local guard died here 57
Found at side of the road out jogging didn't smoke or drink...... So i don't know sometimes who's right but....

.I do know this......
The exercise has to be enjoyable to be sustainable for me anyway....

Good luck gettin out

When we were kids Big Dommo asks the girl in Cecil Fines bookies at the Black Horse "Can you back a horse in here "she says yes so he backed Dinny Ryans Piedball carthorse into the shop  dont know what happened but they couldnt get the horse out  Dinny had to be sent for and the shop door had to be removed to give the horse an inch or two more roomto get out .
