Here I seen an 04 taxi this morning.I thought its supposed to be off the road when its 15 years old or am I wrong ?

It's first date of registration could be Dec 31st 2004...good till then.

Then they renew it.

There are wheelchair vehicles out there with unlimited years on their licences.Im pretty sure I saw a 19 year old Toyota Hiace going around.

To answer your question whatever date your car was first registered is the date they use.Think of it like a date of birth.

That's horses you're thinking of. Taxis birthdays are calculated as the anniversary of date of first registration of the motor car.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

As if Johnny Sexton were not under enough pressure when lining up a kick for Ireland, two fans have taken separate personal injury legal actions after being struck by rugby balls at the Aviva stadium. The cases have been taken by female spectators, both of whom were hit in the head by balls kicked into the crowd by players.

One was struck during Ireland’s victory over New Zealand at the Dublin venue on November 17, 2018. The other was hit by a ball during Munster’s loss to Saracens in the European Champions Cup in the stadium on April 22 in 2017.

Didn't hear the full story but apparently there's 6 claims against The Shelbourne because their revovling doors are the front go too fast and people have hurt themselves leaving the hotel  oops

In a further twist, DCC won't let them change the doors because they're 'historical' or protected structures or something.

I'd say there'll be lawyers hanging around those doors next week handing out business cards to anyone leaving the building  :P

There was a case that was withdrawn .A fells fell walking home from the pun sued SDCC but he could not get an engineers report to substanciate any negligence .But the Council brought up the fact that he was drunk at the time as a blood sample had been taken in hospital when he was admitted .The faller said he was not aware he was drunk and then tried to sue the pub for serving him drink that put his health in peril .Similar case was taken in the 60s and a judge ruled you were responsible for what you consume as long as you are aware of the effect .One of the legal side effects of this judgement is if somebody sells you drugs that kill you they cannot be charged with murder as you know drugs are bad for you and there are side effects .

Some people are just money-hungry and I don't understand the mentality.  Life is an experience and sh1t happens.  Sometimes it's nobody's fault.

I remember one time going for a haircut (as it happens) and I tripped over some tree roots sticking out of the pavement.  I grazed my knee (sob, sob) but I got up, embarrassed, and keep going.  It was my fault for not seeing them.  Wasn't drunk either.  I didn't think 'who can I sue for planting that tree there 60 years ago!'

(also, karma is a bitch and it'll get those chancers in the end)

A guy got €40k for slipping on a permanent Eircom manhole cover on the foothpath when it was raining. What about personal responsibility?

Mam always said "you will have no luck with that kind if money".

Among the 1000 things I thank my mam for is that I still have all my teeth. She was obsessive about me brushing them. As the rest of the body slips slowly into decrepitude at least I have all 35 I was given.
