I have noticed if I take off the first half of the week then log in to FN on Thurs/friday I'm always busier than if I'd worked the app all week.

True dat....but i also find the opposite aswell...as in if i work early in the week(Tues-Thurs) i seem to do well but the offers are shit come Fri and Sat...actually worked five days last week...as i said to the missus....it's not all it's cracked up to be!!

The interesting part of the show was that the app distributes the work randomly to keep most drivers happyish if you are a Bronz driver on average and only work Thurs/Sat but decide to work Mon through the week I wonder will they front load you to bronze then slow down your work feed as you have reached your normal requirement from them to keep you satisfied .I know Just eat use a log to make sure all workers get some work per shift .

As Octy says....if they just gave the nearest driver the job....but it must be all too simple and easy for them to do...they feel the need to shake it up,even acquiring priority is strategic, god forbid if you were a carer who works regularly but can't get out before five or six in the evening and get three jobs done before 7pm,a job from Swords to city centre in rush hour still only counts as one job...it really should get you priority given the time and distance it takes,i'm sure there's drivers only accepting short runs to achieve priority.

I often grab a prebook priority job .Im not sure priority exists I never get offers in Clondalkin or Lucan or Tallaght there are probably plenty of drivers working that patch no need to feed me and take food out of their mouths .I get plenty of offers in Terenure ,Walkinstown .

I've often thought the same hal,  if you're engaged for over an hour out of the two priority hours you should get prioritisation. Not that I ever really give a shit about priority but if I was chasing it I certainly wouldn't be doing cross city jobs during rush hour. You'd refuse longer journeys to do 3 short hops. I think fn have not thought out this particular element very well.  If they gave priority for time engaged as well as job numbers the work would be covered quicker.

It's all about control....master/slave sort of tingy....the app has a monopoly on the business....so yu have to ask the question why introduce all these layers of reward and ranking systems?
Because basically its mind control.......brainwashin....
They in charge and you work for them as an employee and if you dont dance  to the companies tune.....yull be demoted, punished....
..
Now that sort of mentality is completely fuked up........

The gig economy they call it .....you supply all the risk,
insurance, tyres, car, meter ,maintenance ,your own holiday pay , your own sick pay, your own health insurance,
Your own pension etcetera etcetera etcetera.......and if you have an accident or a heart attack it's your problem ......
fuk ya .
Next .....
When did it go from a phone app that works for you and you pay them an appropriate commission fee in a mutual beneficial business partnership......to .....we own you and the drivers work for them?
Ther many advantages to having the app and by the day its becoming more essential.....ide rather use an app....less cash on me , safer work generally,  the customer is more behaved generally because it's all on record, communication , you can get a job anywhere...etcetera
.....and it will become essential if you are to survive ..especially when the downturn happens......
When that happens...the ambassadors will get
ALL THE WORK not just the cream
..thers going be  hostility  wen that happens ....
Resentment....I can see protests outside ther offices and petition an all sorts going on ......but theyll laugh it all off cause theyll then have us all by the bollix .....
Like everything  else this government has sold out to multinationals ....

If you cannot open this link .The programme will be reshown on BBC set your recorder its frightening all the data they hold .From the time you accept until you arrive they track you and your speed and direction then while you do the job they track you but they also track you even when your app is off .It was suggested they feed work indiscriminately not to nearest driver so they can keep more drivers engaged .If they give all the work to a few drivers then the rest will rebel .That is why I asked how many pre bookeds on average an ambassador has to do .If you are trying to reach a certain status then you will be obliged to cover all the crap to hit your targets .

If you set the Range on F/N to 2KM's, the bastard still offers jobs up to, and beyond that distance. That clogs up the screen, so you have to reject the job, forcing you to take your eye off the road. On a busy night, it could prove downright dangerous.

I thought Click was about Uber, but yet you go on about FreeNow.
Just get off you4 fuckin arse, go out and earn a few quid.
WORK SMART, NO HARD.
Sleep in the bed, not on the fucking floor,

You’ve always complained about work John, ALWAYS.
We are in doing this roughly the same amount of time and I very rarely complain about earning fuck all CSU’s e8 work smart not work.
If it’s not working for you, change the whole thing up, join a radio company, leave the radio company, try an app, ditch an app, LEAVE YOUR COMFORT ZONE. Do something but stop complaining that there is no work when there is an abundance of it out there p, ya lazy bastard.
If you put the same effort into working as you did worrying about Brexit you’d make a good few quid.

And on another note, you want to get a 9-5 Monday to Friday, you’d be sacked by noon on the first day ffs
