I was thinking someone might buy one of these eventually. Some things that would bother me is getting parts and I honestly doubt his mechanic has the expertise to work on these yokes.Added to that the door handles are flush to the bodywork. The customers might need some training to open them too.41k after all grants.

According to RC's database, the current T41413 (per photo) is a 10C Octavia with a Lawrence Nweke Ogboani driving it.  Lawrence seems to be licenced for Cork.  I wonder if they'll give him the Tesla?

The NTA database says the same.  Would that Tesla be breaking the law if it was driven on the road, NTA-unregistered, no roof sign, but with the 41413 plastic stickers on it?  The NTA database says 41413 should be a 10C Octavia!

Maybe its going for it's suitability soon.Interesting to see if it passes. You'd go mental if it failed.

One other thing is if it's involved in any sort of an accident it's probably getting written off.I know someone in insurance and the Teslas have extra long repair times due to the parts being unavailable.Even in the US where they're built repair costs can be multiples of a regular motor.

I'd pay 2 ton a week to rent that... for a week anyway.

I see it's actually plated up now.I'm sure we'll see a few more around town soon enough.I was half thinking about buying one but you'd get lads taking ya off the rank for a fiver just to sit in one. They're very fast.Even the slow version.

"Stuart's" one (actually owned by a Mr. Ogboani) is working down below in Cork. Maybe we can have a go in it in January... do you know the driver, Ken?

I'd say it was just in Stuart's to get kitted out and SB got the erm end of the stick. Your man wants his head examined letting Stuart's grease monkeys near that... IMO!

I think (thanks to SB) we might have got off on the wrong foot with this thread. Fair enough if it was one of our own renting to another of our own for a couple of ton a week, it'd be worthy of the praise implied in the thread title. However, should we not be asking how someone who doesn't appear to be Irish by accident of birth can afford to operate such a vehicle as a taxi?
