Did you see him (Ruby) in the debate with McCririck back when he opposed Gambling and viewed bookmakers as the parasites they are? That was before he became the poster boy for parasite extraordinaire, Paddypower.com.
Ruby was always Two-faced, he used to come to Cork every year fer the Cheltenham preview night, pick out his new suit from Saville in the afternoon, stay at a luxury hotel and get his Monkey appearance money all paid by the Bookie who was sponsoring the night and then slag off the bookies from the top table whilst telling the audience a load of lies about his upcoming rides at the festival.

Annie power despite hearing all the millions of theories about what happened, I have never managed to get my head around it.

There's no hookier sports than this but in my opinion the horse just fell as it took off a full stride too early.Way too dangerous to try anything like that, could have crippled/killed himself or the horse or both.Going full pelt into the flight like  particularly as we knew Ruby was near the end of his career even back then.
There's way easier ways of cuntbaggery where stopping horses is concerned without something as perilous as that.

Ruby was a wreckless devious cunt liked to wait to take it up between the last two fences or hurdles trying to fool the handicapper .Was brought up to be a mucksavage low life scheming jockey like his oul man .I would bet he fell off more horses at the last fence than any other fence on the racecourse .I agree Annie Power just got it wrong if you wanted to stop her all you had to do was feed her plenty of Grass on raceday bloat her out no chance of injuring her .

Think he might've taken a few knocks in his time all the same....no spleen...........several bones shattered.........earning a pittance when compared to the likes of footballers at the top of their game whose lives aren't in danger. Don't think he's worried what a few fag smoking, semi-retarded dipsos outside bookies shops think of him, or what housewives blowing their last fiver do for that matter.

I wasn't referring to tipster services, LL... they're for mugs... I was referring to the odd tip from yourself and selections posted by MMW during one of our Cheltenham competitions.

I knew that-  just conforming what Merc had said about being a sceptic etc...it really is a farce of a game, betting that is. And, before anyone gets all uppity about being described as a fag-smoking, semi-retarded dipso....that was just a generic description of most lads I see "outside" bookies.

Waites beat him 4-2. Mitchell won 4-0... the two of them meet in the quarters tomorrow, should be a decent game.

Only one game this afternoon (williams -v- Hogarth) sandwiched between two womens games. Might get the rest of the grout out of the ensuite tiles before that!

Dire standard this yr with the background blocked to hide the lack of people. More atmosphere at a Mormon Wake.

Some pretty poor stuff alright... BDO ticket prices have always been way too high IMO but folk obviously liked Lakeside. Hamilton has gone way downhill considering he was in the Premier League a few years back despite being the most tedious player on the planet to watch.

90 lids per person, per day as opposed to 240 lids per table for the weekend at the PDC events....that's what I read somewhere. Regardless, the death knell has tolled for the BDO. London is one expensive kip to go out in or even to get a decent meal.

Minehead worked out at €210/head for the weekend last November... including flights, car hire, accommodation, tickets, entertainment, etc. No comparison. I think Citywest was €30-40 per ticket on 1/4 finals night.

Fair play to him... one of the commentators on Quest or Eurosport was saying you wouldn't want to get into a drinking competition with him either.. hollow legs is the phrase he used!
