Rap music has been around since I was a kid and I haven't stabbed anyone yet.

I was walking me dog around Blanch a few years ago and told another dog owner to be careful as there was broken glass on the path.His response always stuck with me..he said in front of his own children simply "kids are bastards" and walked off.I think that's your answer Erm.

Could have been the beautiful seaside town where new mothers abandon their babies on the beach, they could have come from city center, could have come from anywhere but the old saying of “a dog doesn’t shit on it owns doorstep” comes to mind

Fight organised on Facebook and the lad who got stabbed had to be brought to Malahide Garda station to find a Garda... while the riot squad were busy drinking tea in Drogheda?

To be fair, we had the odd brawl with other localities' "gangs" way back when I was a youngster. Just if someone got injured they had more pride than to admit the other side got the better of them, generally just said they fell off a wall or something like that.

Crew that battered the Lad in Suir Road Last week are from Queen Street ,Rialto and Drimnagh they are like Hobos they Ride the Rails just looking for trouble .Garda know who they are there is CCTV .Same Posse attacked a cyclist at Red Cow a few weeks ago .I was involved with the Summer Project and local club for years the Vinnoes closed them down as they were afraid of being sued and the Insurance was huge .Kids need somewhere to go .

Was it the same gangs who organised the Artane scrap a few weeks back... where the Polish kid got his fingers cut? If so, they were local to that area according to Gardai / Media.

There were a couple of immigrants attacked in a park in Crumlin too, erm. Same gang or just racist activists?

Yes kids need somewhere to go but the parents are all working and can’t run the summer projects or have no interest in volunteering to run the projects.
If the government didn’t tax the shite out of everything maybe both parents wouldn’t need to work to just stay alive and then a parent would be at home for the children everyday.

If the government didn’t tax the shite out of everything maybe both parents wouldn’t need to work to just stay alive and then a parent would be at home for the children everyday.

The BIG issue is Garda Vetting .I was Chair of the summer project and a few volenteers called me aside to ask about vetting .Some had minor convictions like shoplifting from Woolworths when they were 14 or 15 and they didnt want the whole community to know so resigned .I had a pal ran a Schoolboy Football Club one of the most successful Clubs in Schoolboy History a Good mate of Big Dommos  well know to the late Justice Hussey or O Huoghie  .He was vetted and open about his past a great Football Man ,But he walked away after being abused by waster parents who thought the Football Club was a place to dump their kids on Sunday morning while they went to the Pub challenging him for not picking their kids who were not good enough to carry water bottles for the A team .Being abused and called out on his past he just said Fuck that walked away and the whole Club Collapsed one of the top Clubs in the Country .

Garda vetting isn’t the issue. It’s peoples mentalities that their past will come out. It’s probably already out there.

Had the younglad in the car who was hit over the head with a bar when he was cycling to work at the Black Horse Luas .He was telling me the gards had cctv and stopped and searched a few likely lads and found one carrying a home made tomohawk they had selotaped a kitchen knife to the handle of a  hammer to make .

To be fair to the erm... not that I advocate being fair to the erm... I was listening to the local FF TD on the wireless and he painted the area as a complete shithole with kids running riot as a matter of course... seemed to blame the parents more than the Gardai.
