I would not disagree.although im not yet a state pensioner,I have a fairly small pension from eircom.but I have always believed this should be an industry consisting of fully professional,fully committed,full time self employed drivers.if that includes ruling the likes of me out,then so be it.there are to many young men out there trying their damdest to provide a living for their families,and then tou have the NTA who want to flood an already over populated with more taxis

Only messing Daly but that what this industry is like.Everyone has a type of driver they don't like.

I'm sure there are full time slaves who don't like that I can live on 30 hours a week.They think anyone doing less than 50 hours is lazy when in fact I'm doing them a massive favour.

Some lads make poor choices.If you wanna feed six kids and pay a mortgage then the taxi industry isn't for you.You should have been a doctor or an engineer.Low skill job.

With respect, DM how do you expect reps to do their job when you refuse to support them? Time and time again you complain that there are too many taxis while NPHTA and ITDF complain that 20,000 drivers have abandoned the trade and that entry costs are too high. Free Now controls TAC and hence the taxi trade... money might not sing and dance but it sure as hell talks.
