About 132,000 people from 180 countries have become Irish citizens since the ceremonies were first introduced in 2011.

I bet most of them now live in the UK .

Don;t know about Clondalkin, but Tallaght has very few notable imports except 300 Fillpina Nurses living near the Hospital. Heard that Balbriggan place gets most of them.

Did Tallaght not elect a black or two to South (West?) Dublin County Council, LL?

Have they named any of those dead babies found in Tuam yet, as a matter of public interest?

No harm done .... unmarried mothers got a second chance

Good craic alright. To be fair to our African immigrants they don't draw a whole lot of attention to themselves but no doubt they will be running the country within a generation or two, subject to such constraints as necessarily imposed by the faceless bureaucrats in Brussels. SDCC today, Dail Eireann tomorrow...

I'd say that's a given alright....I just wonder how long it'll take for a Mick or Concepta to thwart them when it comes to EPA and An Bord Pleanala obstructionism in the development of their innate cultural belief systems etc? I've a feeling that the Quangos and Lobby Groups might be the favoured target for said ambitious politicos. SF have several hundred members not from these shores.....not a Brit in sight. 2 called to our gaff, prior to the election, when we were away, and little passive-aggressive Monica ran them. Thankfully she's a non-native too....no blowback.

The shinner in my constituency is from Crumlin or Drimnagh, I think... still topped the poll... as you said yourself they could run Johnny Adair right now.

Non-existent in terms of work done for the community. Takes after Larry O'Toole in that respect.

People vote for the gunman's favourite thinking they'll get a virtually free house for themselves and their little surnamed sprogs.

Larry would've got elected if he was under the SF banner, DM... but then, so would Johnny Adair. He's not as popular as he likes to think he is in his beloved Darndale. I've had many clients complain of him ignoring the nightly intimidation of locals by gangs of youths and two told me he claimed to know nothing of drug dealing activity outside the school gates... even after the ASU had to be called on one occasion when a youth was being held at gunpoint by another youth. When's the last time you heard of a kneecapping in Coolock? He's akin to a chocolate fireguard these days.
