Drew Harris seems to be echoing the sentiments of the N.I. commish in that he wants the civil power to be able to force people into mandatory vax if the situation arises....which I take to mean, "When I determine it necessary". The ANPR system must be legal, John......as in- acceptable by statute- within the workings of paid members of a police force? This whole GDPR thingy seems very washy.

I posted at the time but nobody had a pair of Fucks to give .The 2012 Taxi Act introduced into Irish Law that workers could be observed in their place of work ie cameras on Ranks .It also meant that traffic could be observed .If a motorist complained about being observed the Taxi Act 2012 could be used to point to legal precedent as All laws must apply to all citizens not just Taxi Operators .Remember it was the Law on who could inject Bull Spunk into a Cow that led to the Deregulation of the taxi industry .If Qualified Vets could not be restricted from work they qualified for then Licenced taxi drivers could not be restricted .

Okay. Just asking......remember there are no facts, John....just interpretations....your brief, should you ever need one, will tell you that. Bigger picture here for the likes of madmen like mise is back-door legislation being introduced to restrict movement, freedom and access etc. Mr Harris in the Dáil, and Mr Harris in The Phoeno appear to be working towards a common goal.

I like to remind fellow arsewipes of the position of "The Remembrancer" in the House of Commons. His/Her/Non-Binary's job is to remind the speaker every time he sets a bill in motion that the vested interests of the "elite" must be considered....he is real........I don't make shite up.....Hal will tell you.

Lip our constitution protects your private property but Mary Harneys Nursing home bill introduced into Irish Legislation actually a constitutional amendment a law that allows the state access to your property to maintain you .That could be depended on for access to other Private Property in time like shares ,savings land .Dont think a lot of people consider a small acorn grows into a great Oak and the timber from the Oak can build a gallows.

If Dublin goes same way as other EU countrys in containment measures .Will the Irish government give us any help???.One for, if any Union heads on here, or will we be in trouble, as ive not much money in the kitty like many more drivers to survive without working.

Same as during the last recession, the full-time men are entitled to means-tested Jobseekers Allowance with no restriction on the operation of their taxis. Additionally, as outlined by An Taoiseach in the last day or two an increased Illness Benefit (not means-tested) will be available to all self-employed regardless of PRSI contributions.

What do you want the Unions to do, exactly?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

All joking aside,I might seriously look at this offer.considering the underlying illnesses I have,I dont think I would have much trouble getting a cert from the doctor to self isolate.I genuinely do feel a little scared now,but I wasn't up to now

Unless we're putting bags over the passengers heads we're getting this.

Had a lad in the car who works in a big shop and they're being told to use hand sanitizer after handling cash every single time. It's just not practical to work like that in the taxi.

Rumour going around the country will be going into lock down on Friday.

I haven't heard one word of optimism from any politician, scientist,or anyone else in relation to this virus.its all doom ,and gloom.is nobody working on a cure ? Even the WHO are being extremely pessimistic.surely they should be trying to offer people hope that they are making progress in the battle against it.I say fukk the virus,we will all be grand if we fight it .WE WILL BEAT IT

Dunno why people go mad for bog roll but it's probably fueled by social media.

Daly even if they found a formula to combat the aul corona it would be months of testing and then they'd be rationing who would get it first.Public servants first then the rest of us plebs.
