......... Additionally you cannot continue in self-employment (so have to surrender your PSV licences)..........
I have done a fair share or research on this but I cannot find the above quote listed anywhere ?

Did you click the link I already posted:

https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social_welfare/social_welfare_payments/carers/carers_allowance.html

To qualify for Jobseeker's Benefit (Self-Employed) you must:

Be aged between 18 and 66
No longer be self-employed. You must have lost your self-employment involuntarily and not because of a temporary shutdown or seasonal closure.
I did indeed read all the citizens information and government links posted on here and done a a bit or research myself aswell.
This is an emergency once off 6 week payment fer the self employed, no where does it state that you must surrender your taxi licence or suspend your insurance, it is basically a NQA kinda form to fill out.

If anybody else on here posts about having to suspend Taxi insurance or surrender Taxi licence to avail of the emergency 6 weeks dole then please post the link or a least a copy of the statement.

I also applied fer the emergency covid 6 week payment as I am no longer working,
just seeing posts about surrendering licences and suspending insurance policies is annoying me.

The Covid payment is different from the normal jobseekers which normally would be filled out before you get a tosser, the Covid payment will last for 6 weeks maximum (so they say) and you are expected to fill one of the normal ones in before the 6 weeks are up.

That  normal jobseekers will be harder to get as I would imagine it's means tested so if you have a few quid aside for a rainy day you won't get anything.

You don't need to surrender licences or anything like that for the emergency 6 week Jobseekers Benefit. However, you are supposed to apply for a long-term unemployment payment within the 6 weeks. That's how the discussion on the relative merits of means tested JA and non means tested but more restrictive JB evolved.

Listening to a report on BBC this morning.Germany is to decide tomorrow on a social package for its workforce.the report specifically mentioned taxi drivers, and couriers, who could be in line for a lump sump payment of possibility as much as 15 k per driver paid immediately .be interesting to see if there is any truth in it.this is to see them through the next fee months according to the report

The covid 19 self isolation benefit of 305 is only available fer 2 weeks.
The covid 19 emergency pandemic 'Dole' of 203 is available fer 6 weeks, no questions asked, but is under review in the next few days with many saying that it is far too little.

I don't know if you will get the full 6 weeks of payments seeing as you will have already gotten the 305 fer 2 weeks, but fer sure you will be entitled to the last 4 weeks of the emergency payments of 203 per week.

Generally speaking as regards tax matters and social welfare payments I would be the world's worst at it, my accountant does all my tax affairs and I have never in 40 years of employment ever sought a social welfare payment.

But these new covid 19 social welfare payments I have researched in detail because fer the first time ever they do apply to me.

Have you decided which longer term payment you will apply for, Ken... bearing in mind that you "have to" apply for one or other within the emergency payment period.

Yes, I went fer the 203 fer 6 weeks.

I'm just wondering are school or college kids over 18 entitled to it ?
