Too much effort, easier to jump start ever 3 or 4 weeks I guess. In any event the battery shouldn't be flat after 3 weeks, sure we all went on vacation several times a year 'till the virus hit.

i feel more confident now that I splashed out on a new battery...It actually starts ...first time now!! Remember a 1.2 petrol engine needs much less energy to start ....when compaired to a 2,0 diesel engine

Maybe you understand what "stay at home" means... DM struggles with that concept for some reason.

It takes about 20-30 minutes idling to make up for the energy used to start it up.You must actually drive it to charge it properly.

I'm finding that every time I drive my car to charge the battery, I pass by the off-licence.  And it seems rude to drive by and not support local Irish business  :2cheers

Not necessarily When the battery goes flat after a couple of weeks parked up it's usually a sign that it's on the way out.
