John when you say disconnect, do you mean just break the link, or do you mean break the link and send back the discs ?

So the vehicle was spotted driving around appearing to ply for hire...You see they don't cut you off unless they have reason to.I'd say they're taking a gamble but he can still appeal.

If he wasn't actually working he can argue his position. For every bloke that posts his letter up on Facebook another 200 might sign off.So it's a win-win for welfare.

I got a message from the taxithingy Break the link and inform them if you were suspending your licence .There seems to be some debate between not working and suspending your licence .You are supposed to be available so that would mean keeping your discs in place so you can respond to any availability .

Well when I go to re-establish the link, I'll simply say I wasn't driving at all if asked , and that's why I broke the link

Big Dommo cant believe how fucking stupit some fellas are .To collect 4500 free money all you need to do is take the roofie off and disconnect from the app .Dommos brother got 5 years once for 4500 .Think it was FDS said there is a reason some fellas drive taxies .

Don't forget the staff from welfare live where yous live. They're mostly working from home.I'm sure many are out walking and cycling. You wouldn't be able to spot them in a lineup.Easy to spot a working taxi.Or just order from Freenow and they'll send one to your gaff.

You only had to blow the doors off ...You remember the film . You only had to take the roof sign off .Simple instruction .Just had a phone call from a driver parked up outside his gaff got a letter this morning off welfare saying his coin is stopped as he is working because his van was observed with the roof sign intact .

Just for reference if your not working remove your roofie and remove yourself from the NTA app .You have no defense if you dont comply simple as .

I stand corrected so john fair play to you

I'm not working but I am driving to my father who's unable to leave home with my roof sign on

Email from NTA dated 17th April:

Quote
As always, it is the driver’s responsibility to notify NTA (create a driver to vehicle link) when operating a vehicle or face a fine and potential prosecution.

Any SPSV licence holders not operating at present are required to break their driver to vehicle link by using the SPSV Online Portal or emailing taxis@nationaltransport.ie. This includes owner operators who usually create open ended links for themselves on their vehicle. The Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection may verify that SPSV licence holders, who have applied for income support, have notified the NTA that they are not operating a vehicle (i.e. broken their driver to vehicle link).

Any taxi licence holders not operating at present are also required to remove the taxi roof-sign.

Memo to self:  read these emails in future  oops
Getting old is compulsory whilst growing up is voluntary.
