Govt should be investing a lot more in safer, healthier, environmentally friendlier alternatives. Maybe a 36% health levy on taxi fares?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

50% was discount. I'm suggesting a levy aimed at reducing reliance on taxis with a view to eliminating said reliance in accordance with the trade's own belief that it should not be an essential form of public transport. A 50% (if you like) health levy would help push the sector to a luxury/discretionary position as desired by many taxi drivers and dispatchers.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Punters probably won't bother goin to the pub as the experience of listening to Ermy waffling on with a pint in one hand a betting slip in the other and a copy of the Sun in his arse pocket while he shouts at the telly while watching C4 Racing......just won't be the same!!

I just can't see the rules being adhered to after 5/6 drinks.I also can't see the barman ejecting customers because they won't socially distance.

The future is more shorter lockdowns.

You'll get folks booking two slots under different names until the wet pubs open.

You can drink 5-6 pints in 105 minutes?

I can but it's ugly so I don't anymore.I know couples who could easily finish two bottles of wine in 105 minutes.

Some people will see it as a challenge.

I don't think the time limit applies to the wet pubs opening.Or does it?

Agreed, DM. FFS... get in that queue, MfH... and when you've swallowed 14 pints off stout in 103 minutes get yourself a big stick for to beat the wife with. Our culture is on the line.
