Did he bother his brown eye telling anyone how one actually goes about accessing the Enterprise Support Grant, as it is officially called? There's zero info as far as I can tell, as to the procedure for getting your paws on it. Revenue website has the same shite on it since it was first announced: ie

"Now that a decision has been taken to extend the scheme in this manner, the Department is developing the systems to put it into effect and will communicate how to access the grant in the coming weeks".

It's all very well me wanting to spend 1250e in order to claim back the 1000e max, but I don't have 1250 on me right now that I have to wait 6 months to get the thousand back. I'll need it for paschal in October!
Id like to know I'll be receiving my grand within a fortnight...

Varadkar was just on the Pat Kenny show this morning.  Talking about the 1,000 grant, he specifically mentioned 'taxi drivers & a man with a van' as people who might avail of the €1,000 grant.  It was around the 9.40am mark if you want to download it.

Take the next bit with a pinch of salt because I'm no tax expert.  He said that many companies/self-employed people made a profit in 2019 and will make a loss in 2020.  You will be able to claim back some of your 2019 tax against your 2020 losses...

He also said that, with the VAT reduction, now might be a good time time to buy a car!

A car? Give panel a bag of sand and he'll buy a fleet.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Still no sign of them giving us the nitty-gritty details yet, of how to click and collect?

Easy enough to get a grands worth of business advice/mentoring, I guess.

You can provided you subject it to PAYE and pay employers PRSI as well as Employees PRSI. Not worth the effort for the sake of a grand... well, there's a lot easier ways to get receipts totalling €1,250, IMO.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
