the biggest mistake the nta made was demanding stickers removal .......ther was no need for that silly ting to do ....but I suppose they dealin wit alot o criminal class taxi drivers an yu cant trust the cnuts and ther was no book written on wat to do during a plaugue ......

Thers going to be fuk al work out ther for a cople years lads ...I hate to break it to yis but it's like jaws ....I never swam again after watchin it in 75 in Fairview cinema....me world changed forever ......like the gfc ...the taxi surplus will have to be culled .......some nearing retirement will opt out now .....others like the gfc will top themselves under the financial pressure but itll be called natural wastage and be all forgotten, others will get a new job but for owlfellas like most of us itll be tough if yu have a mortgages......
I was readin the other day about the fallout from this plaugue an the experts wer saying that millions will die from starvation and famine because of the flu ....I dont know how they worked that out but if that's the case then we can expect gazillion more refugees lookin for work as a taxi driver ......tink wer all fuked really

You could be tempted to take a fare with the stickers on, I guess. A lot of lads were making private use of their cars so would have been out and about. Outside of the big cities the window stickers are enough to attract potential clients as not all taxis have roof signs.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

They did. You could claim the €350 provided your income was impacted to the extent that you'd accept other employment if it were available. However, most of the lads working for Free Now seem to be earning more than they declared in 2018....

Me missus hasn't stopped singing me praises since i finished the gaff...so much so that she now wants the kitchen worktop and tiles replaced.....generally not a problem as kitchens are what i do(did) but i flogged my worktop jig(for doin the masons cut) a long time ago,Screwfix sell them....€108......as hiring them for a weekend is just as expensive.

You'd get a Pole to do it for less.

I used to deal with Lee himself back in the day....would manfacture any unit that i wanted outside of standard units cheaper than i could make them from scratch....
Would rather do the work myself, but will need a plumber to disconnect the gas hob.

Maybe he'd lend you one for a few hours - a jig that is, not a plumber. Did you look at the hob connection... a lot have quick release hoses these days which don't need a Gas Safe man, easily identifiable bayonet type fixing that's spring loaded so the gas is knocked off automatically as you disconnect it, although there's probably a stop cock on it as well, to be sure to be sure.

P.S. Would you not get her one of them new induction hobs while you're at it? Supposed to be way better than gas, they even use them on Masterchef The Professionals these days... and better for the environment. I was gonna get one myself but my pots and pans aren't compatible with induction and they've been with me a long time so I decided to put it on the back burner for now.

When we had a gas oven we had a quick release hose...i fell over it in the shed not so long ago but for some reason and i don't know what that is but the hob has to be connected directly(not using the flexible hose)
