Its painfuly obvious to me that we are our own worst enemies,and the govt,the NTA the dept of transport,and the dispatchers are hoping that will continue to be the case.I seen it myself one day .there was a debate on wether or not TTNH  should have been invited to the talks..I remember another time when I was with CTA we proposed at a meeting to ask ALLof the rep groups to meet in the dail ,and the meeting was to be chaired by tommy broughan who agreed.not even one of the groups turned up.id say the above mentioned bodies are delighted with this continued fragmentation of our reps.just think what cpuld be achieved if some of them had the foresight,the intelligence,and the fukin interest to bring that about.that is what I mean when I say take back control of your industry from these people

It seems half the fleet would swap Taxi driving for basic unemployment benefit , hopefully this will seep through to the populous thereby extinguishing any desire they might harbour to enter the taxihood.

Oddly enough, the immigrant drivers around here actually behaved themselves re: pup payment and it's only now that one or two of them are starting to reappear. I was genuinely surprised at that. It's paddy who is doing the dirty in the main, as far as I can see.

Payments are from Wed to Thur, if you work one day, your paid for the week so start Monday, then you will be paid on the following two Tuesdays

My intention all along was to come off it at the original August 10th end-of-pup date. The fact they've extended it didn't change that.
So I worked out that next Monday the 3rd would be my sign off date because "I thought" that would bring me up to the Monday 10th. Obviously I was erroneous in my understanding of the way the days run in this regard.
So from what you're telling me, if I do sign off this Monday 3rd, I will receive a final payment on Tuesday 11th? Right, that's me sorted (if you are correct in what you are saying, that is). Cheers.
