I heard some lads saying they put say 300 down for diesel but didn't show any receipts.Dont be listening to wank rank gossip, its simple you can claim for whatever extra expenses you incurred to get back to work, snotscreen, gloves hand sanitiser and so forth. The up to 1k grant is exactly what it says.... Up TOO, if you spend €500 on screen, gloves and such then thats what you get, diesel, services licence renewal expenses are not part of the grant. In that case I don't think I will bother with it. I thought I read fuel costs were included though. I got a few repairs done in the couple of weeks before I went back working but I would have had to get that done anyway so id say I wouldn't be due much money back.Fuel costs ARE included. It's whatever you "needed" to get your "business" back up and running. You guys should read up on it....you get back 80% of your qualifying expenses. So to get the full grand, you need to claim for 1250 worth of stuff. I put down for over 1500 worth so if they don't allow me something I'll still be in with a chance of getting max or close to it. I was looking back on my receipts since march, I probably could get 1500 actually as well. you don't have to send receipts? that seems mad. also it says you can claim for public liability insurance which is a cost a business would have to pay anyway so why cant we claim for our insurance?

I can't for the life of me figure out why they want it done by snail mail instead of online in this day and age. You'd have thought it would be more efficient. No money yet in't bank yet. Hopefully won't have to wait too long. There's probably some pen pusher below in the social building going through it with a fine tooth comb, tongue lying on the ground in his absolute determination to screw me and get brownie points. Sent from my T770H using TapatalkI sent in similar documents before for the BTWEA grant. I had to send in invoices and receipts. I dealt with two different ladies at the social welfare, the first one was sound and gave me the money but the second one sent back a load of invoices with red pen marks on them, made thing difficult. but she was sound in the end. I was very lucky to get the BTWEA but I understand they wont give it to new taxi drivers these days.
