WTF are they going to the Pepper Canister Church for, its miles away from everything.
They would be better off driving to the middle of Athlone and parking.

FFS.

"Piss up" "brewery" comes to mind!

Remember when the Famers parked and blocked Stephens Green, Merrion Row Merrion Sq.m Headline news!

Oddly enough the farmers were a lot cleaner and smelt better than most taxi drivers

Well ok I'll give you that.

To answer your question in the context of attracting supporters, Jonno, I think Maxi posted an agenda which was, frankly, embarrassing from a literacy perspective. Another agenda was posted on another thread as well - I think that focussed on the need for subsidies to get drivers back to work because there's supposed to be no work - so there's plenty enough on offer to satisfy a broad range of whims.

In the context of running a profitable event I guess it's about filling the buckets. The last one organised by Oxo and Waldron suggested the coin would go to (investigating the potential for) judicial review of the last fare increase. It turned out there was no judicial review and I didn't hear what was alleged to have been done with the money collected.

Anywaysanall, bring yisser wallets...
Rat Catcher firstly i would like to thank you for reading my post its make me believe that contribution on this forum is very important to everyone who really wants to make a change also share an information and knowledge. Personally i didn't nominated you negative moron to explain me to anyone. I hope that you came forward at the 15th of September and give us a great speach as you seems to be very open-minded and constructive in your thoughts.

I wasn't trying to explain you, Maxi. I was merely pointing Jonno to the agendas posted on here, one of which was submitted by your good self. I've been down the protest/union road before so I'll respectfully decline your offer. Don't forget your wallet...
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Buyback me bollix. Why would the NTA give money to drivers so they can come back in a few months driving a cheap wheelchair van. There's nobody staying on the road paying €10000 every year just to keep a taxi plate active that they paid €6000 for.Stupid stuff altogether.

I agree but remember some of the union leaders and Ebbs and even Vinny have rentals parked up gathering dust and not earning. The rental prices have plummeted.

I've seen an advert from Ebbs for a rent to buy taxi. They haven't done that in years. They want the government to give us €200 a week so drivers can rent their vehicles....or worse compete against their rentals in our own cars.Fuk them. They're not doing anything to help us at all.

We should be allowed not work and get €350/week for the same. That way drivers who want to work might get some of the reward they deserve. I wonder if any of these Union morons ever listen to themselves... we want more men working because there's no work?

Heard someone (probably one or the other, I don't know them) on the hard shoulder today (Ivan's old slot). Your man Johnathan the host is good. He grilled the fuck out of him and had him sputtering and stuttering a fair bit. If meehawl was listening in, I don't think we'll be getting much help based on what he would have heard.

He still hasn't appeared yet. The way Kenny just announced his upcoming guests, the taxi"representative" could be Paddy last on the list.
