If we can now work and claim how come so many drivers are going around with no roof sign on?
Two of the regulator's enforcers (

) were hiding in the doorway of a shop late one night a few years ago. I spotted the slithery bastards a mile away. Though as I say, if you've nothing to hide, you've nothing to worry about. I was waiting to see them for some time to find something out, so I pulled up along the kerb and got out. Before they said anything about plying for business, I told them I wasn't working. One of them says "so why have you got your sign on?" I didn't bother debating the issue. I found out what I needed to and fucked off on me way. It got me wondering what Is the rule in that regard. As far as I'm concerned you're allowed to keep your sign on all the time once the light isn't on. Don't know what his problem was. But I had a run in with him a couple of years previous to that. He had a right attitude. Power went to his head. Tom Barry was his name if I remember correctly. Ex guard.
