In 1970 my parents were given the option of a 3 bed flat in St Michael's estate or a 4 bed in Kilmore West.

My Mam chose the house. Dodged a bullet there! 8)

Told you before My family were the first people to live in Kilmore Dundaniel Road the Lord Mayor gave us the key about 66 or 67 .I came home from London on a Saturday in 1984 went into the corpo on the Wednesday had a flat in St Michaels on Thursday ..£4 a week hot water and central heating included .I gave a homeless fella a fiver today in Clondalkin he lives in a tent on the canal has done for years .FUCKED UP WORLD SILVER .

Down the far end of  Cromcastle Road and Kilbarron Road are the flats.
Crimecastle Court I nicknamed it.

A pity. In any other society they'd fetch a pretty penny rather than ex cons and single mam's.
