No they wont relax anything .There is about 5% of the voting population that make the difference .Labour went for the Gay vote Leo then latched on to it .They had the referendum Labour who proposed it thought they would get the benefit they managed to lose 23 seats .The new battle ground is Green Politics the Greens have that vote but next election will only get 3 seats .Irish politics is all about creating issues that can be exploited for votes while making no real change in peoples lives like decent housing ,Healthcare ,Education ,Pensions .Care for Children with Special needs .As long as Gillian and Conor feel their issues are being listened to and they can park their cycle as they take a coffee all is great with the world  until Gillian loses her job as a Yoga instructor and Connor gets replaced as a Coffee Jockey by a Brazillian Barrista that works for chump change .

That's utter bollocks to say Labour went for the "gay vote and then Leo latched onto it".
Utter bollocks, I have relatives who were involved in the Marriage Equality Referendum from the get go and years previous to that and it was the LGBTQ people themselves  who dragged the politicians along.
But Leo most definitely did not latched onto it.
Labour did however about 10 yrs ago introduce a Civil Unions Bill to the Dáil,but it was voted down.
Again, the MarRef was LGBTQ driven and pushed.

Is was  Eamon Gilmore put his support behind the equality vote in the programme for government .Leo who claims to be Gay suddenly discovered it in his 30s Fuck right off its Cunts like him that oppressed the Gay community hiding because it might of affected his career .The Fucking Traitor was afraid of been outed  He latched on to the issue .Nobody really gives a fuck what consenting adults do in their lives . My issue with Leo is when he was looking for support as a Councillor or TD or leader of FG he never once said he was Gay and Proud .It was only when there was votes in it he decided to come out .Leaders Lead Cowards Follow .Leo Veradker is the most self serving cunt that ever looked for a vote a self serving Traitor .When the History of the 21st century is written Leo will not come out well a Lowlife self serving scumbag .If the treat from the north ever succeeds in blowing his fucking head off I wont shed a tear in fact Ill throw a fucking party .

As I stated earlier it was Labour who proposed a Civil Union Bill years ago (it was Michael D), but the push for Marriage Equality was lead and done by LGBTQ people for many years.
Varadkar came out in his 30s to the general public ,BUT it was widely known within political circles, media and gay community he was gay.
So you not knowing JohnM seems to have hurt you.
He didnt come out "to get votes". His sexuality was and is never an issue when he goes for election,Im no supporter of his, but to say he "came out"merely for votes is laughable and ridiculous. He never latched onto the issue. His sexuality is a non issue, except for you it seems.
You say "My issue with Leo is when he was looking for support as a Councillor or TD or leader of FG he never once said he was Gay and Proud. You're right he didn't and doesnt, why should anyone? It was only when there was votes in it he decided to come out ." Thats nonsense. What votes was he looking for ? from whom ?  If you think that a gay politician automatically gets the gay vote then you are deluded along with your taxi delusions.
It's great to be an armchair warrior

Your talking bollox .I met most of the so called taxi reps and the promise I made was you would never read anything that we discussed on Roys as that was the forum of the time .From why after the meeting in the Transport Club to the Protest went to the Taxi thingey office to the protest  on O Connell Street I know what really happened but as I said  I am a man of my word .

So you made a promise to the "so called reps" not to discuss anything on Roys forum. I would have thought that that was a given. Who would want to mouth off on a forum about issues that would affect the taxi business.
With respect it seems that promise went out the window over the years given what you'v posted over the years.
But if you know what "really happened" why not be a man of your word and stand for election once and stop saying "we should have an elected taxi driver on the council"

I have no idea what this thread is about. Are yis protesting about the pandemic or are yis just unhappy generally.

Nobody has mentioned the safety issue with the new bollards around town making ot impossible to safely pick up a passenger on the street. It's inevitable they're gonna block taxis from the middle of the city. That's been coming for years.Once the Luas and buses go 24 hours they'll push us out even further.

Erm wouldn't win a nobbly knees competition. Why would he expect to get a taxi drivers vote.Mad stuff lads.

Couldn’t agree more , if and when we can get back working, it will be ner impossible to 1)Get around,2) Park at a rank 3) pick up passengers.
Maybe we need an elected  official!!!

Ill tell you why I wont say what was discussed .Different people had different ideas .I didnt agree with them they didnt agree with me .I protested took days off while others just drove by laughing at us .I wouldnt be botherd wasting me time getting on to any elected body .The Council is run by Keegan an unelected Puppett and the Government is run by unelected Doctors and University teachers .Democrasy  is dead in this Country unless you can prove you are a victim of some sort .

Makes sense, I guess. Given that drivers (including JIT), self-appointed drivers' representatives and taxi company bosses have all stressed how unsuited taxis are to the new normal, I guess we can't say the authorities aren't listening to "us". However, has anyone considered how wheelchair users will navigate pedestrianised streets. Is it easier or more difficult than on foot? How about tourists with suitcases... does the fact that they can carry them through airport terminals prove that they can carry them a few hundred yards in potentially inclement weather?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

FUCKING WONDERFULL if your rich enough to send your kids abroad to study you don't have to pay but if your poor and go abroad for medical services fUCK you and if you can play the wounded soldier like we Jews were cooked in ovens by Germans you can walk right in .    Irish Erasmus students working in the five EU member states currently on the Government's mandatory hotel quarantine list may not have to pay for the service.

RTÉ News understands that Minister for Further and Higher Education Simon Harris is working on an initiative whereby the Government would pick up the tab.   When the majority of Irish Retards wake up in going into business teaching you how to shoot .
