a few years ago i was filling up at the petrol station. I had just opened a new bottle of dipetane and was taking it out of the boot when this chinee lad approached me and distracted me. he was quizzing me about the taxi game and he starts tellin me he was done for gargling behind the wheel and did i reckon he had a chance of being given a psv. he had all the dublinese down and i thought i might be on a hidden camera show. i was chattin to him for a while and then i closed the boot and drove off. next thing i hear badump from the boot. the whole bottle of dipetane with the cap off dumped all over the back.

Twice filled my work diesel van with petrol. I had a motorbike, a petrol car, and a diesel van at the time. Did it once in the taxi also; that happened on a Sunday, and the guy who pumped it out for €200 said that it usually happens on Sunday when husband or wife use each others car because of alcohol the night before, or parked arrangements in the drive.
Trump has called for help, so I'm on a plane heading for The Strait of Hormuz, talk soon.

^^^^^^Use washing up liquid and a sponge or a soft brush to loosen up the gunk then hose it off but don't use a power hose on a Renault.Normal garden hose pressure for the electrics if you must.

Do I wipe it down steam clean it or leave it ?

Use brake cleaner and some decent kitchen towels to get rid of the heavy gunk.....i would use some plastic bags to cover electrics with some cable ties....especially on a Renault...and do it on the road...not your driveway.
