I think there's also a loophole in the legal system.  If you get done for something like dangerous driving, you're meant to bring your physical licence to court and get it endorsed on the day.  If you 'forget' to bring your licence, it doesn't get physically endorsed and the penalty only exists on a few computer systems.  And not all the Govt computers talk to each other so you could lose your licence and nobody would be any the wiser unless they did some digging.  Hence the NDLS driving licence history printout!

Do they supply just the current state of the licence, or do they list full history of expired points?

Just got my documents .It contains the amount of Live penno points .It does not include details of penalty points or disqualifications that are served .

Oh, I did take my glasses off for the one the younger young lad took, having left them on for the two "professional" ones that were rejected.

That`s why the first 2 were rejected. Glasses are a no no for driving licence and passport photos.

No glasses or any type of head wear are allowed fer your NDLS driving license photo.
Glasses are allowed fer Taxi renewal but not head wear unless on religous grounds.

Free they sent an E Mail .the Ph number and E mail address are posted here .took two days .You can request them by Email or posted to you  .

Got mine this morning as well.  Two week turnaround and the Guards reckon I'm an   

Just have to wait another 12 weeks for the NTA to print off the plastic ID card.  Makes you wonder - the banks could probably send you a new plastic debit card in a day or two.  Wonder why it takes the NTA 12 weeks to do similar

3 months but the NTA send you an email reminder.

I distinctly remember the fella taking the photo in NDLS telling me to take my glasses off about 5 years or so back.

The rules change all the time, best option is just go with whatever they say.

I'm still 'Pissed off' that they (Gardai) would not allow my hat at last PSV renewal,
they be getting a surprise next time I'm due in 2024 !!
