And I confirmed Tony`s post. Same applies to WATs parking in disabled bays , no blue badge on display ? Have a fine or tow away.
I`ve posted informed factual info if you care to look.

I wasn't guessing Kenneth, I made thet very same inquiry when I had my WAT about 10 year ago.

Oddly enough my good wife works in the mid link office on the M7/m8 toll and not a week goes by without some grumpy wat drivers arguing with the toll booth operators trying to say they are exempt because the vehicle is a cripplemobile .

It's ok Kenneth no apologies required.

Any answer on this yet?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Any answer on this yet?

I did myself call the Disability Toll Exemption Scheme on 1800 11 55 00 to get it clarified last Friday, but was put on hold and I requested a call back, which has not happened yet, when it does I will share the information.
I did get the call-back from the Disability Toll Exemption office earlier today from a very pleasant knowledgeable man,
his short answer to the question was No, so we thrashed it out very politely fer a few minutes with me making the case fer a WAT which is a vehicle modified fer disabled use, and also the case fer a spouse to have such a vehicle to transport their disabled spouse.
His answer was that the spouse would qualify even if they were to use the vehicle fer personal use without a disabled person on board, but not the WAT because it is a commercial vehicle and might not be doing disabled jobs all the time. He said that a WAT would be refused but they have a right to appeal the decision.
