I think sumup take 1.69% from ever transaction. They used to take 2.75% but changed this during the pandemic. They guy I was talking to this morning said he cancelled the card so not sure what the story is now. I took a lot of card payments over the weekend unfortunately.

That's wen you take a fare 1990....transfer yur money is separate
I've just transferred the business account money to me bank account last nite ....an every penny went ....no commission...

I know. I was responding to ken who said sumup take 1.42% of ever fare, i think that is what he was saying anyway.
I think I have to download the app to transfer the money, they asked me for my phone number and then said it isn't in their records, they are dragging their heels with me over it, I'm sure they could easily send the money to my bank account if they tried.

Will your bank charge you a transaction fee when you transfer/lodge the money into your 'real' bank account?

And it used to be SumUp --> Bank account

Now it's SumUp --> SumUp Mastercard -->  manual intervention --> Bank account

Not sure how that's of benefit to me?

Sumup must be getting a kickback on every transaction via MasterCard on top of the commission they charge us for getting paid by passengers.

Separately last month Revolut announced they were offering a card acceptance platform for business. When I tried to apply for it they blanked me after I told them my turnover was only a grand a month via card.

I'm still sceptical that this mandatory card acceptance is a good idea.I'm getting no extra work since we started having to accept card.I am getting more card payments though.

So you save a euro on every 100 Ken? Jesus wept.  As for the charging issue I just leave it plugged in all the time. No big deal, ya hungry cnut!
Yep !
Only 1.42% commission with sumup, and Circle K 4c off per liter, half price car washes. FN ambassador program gets me priority work, did I mention that FN paid the the €86.10 fer my last reseal or the €200 Circle K voucher or the constant FN Bobo's on offer.

Some of us work Stoopid and some of us work Clever !

Once again Ken has to remind everybody that he's a licky lacky piece of shit. Stop advertising for them shysters Ken fook sake.  We don't care if you get twopence off yer juice or a cheap scaldy car wash.  You've just proved my point that you're a cheap skate piece of dirt.
It could be worse, I could be regular Scum or worse again I could be from Fookin Tallaght !

Just wondering do ye get Food Aid drop-off's like the starving Africans in Tallaght Horse ?

My current rate is 1.42%, new sumup card holders with FN can get 1.39%.
The dinosaurs on cab-app can eat 2.76% !!

... 1990 ....this is wat i dun .....don't activate card for now  and dont  finnish account setup untill yur sorted .....any money in yur business account can be sent to yur bank account....
Simply open the sumup app ...

Press ACCOUNT

Then type in yur name an Iban

Yur money goes into yur bank account next day

It looks good, but is it 0% commission ?
Yea Ken...free

Temporary solution of course ...

If 1990 goes into settings

He can change his money goin back into his bank account...
Not sure if this works yet as I've bean off few days an no money comin in ....mite be more steps to take but for us procrastinators  oops
If'n it's actually Free, then take it, no worries.
But be sure there is a get-out clause when fees are introduced !

Ken was out working one cold, wet, windy day. It really was a bad day weather wise. He was driving down the road and next minute he sees his ma up ahead with her hand stuck out for a taxi. She was shivering from the cold the poor dear. What does Ken do? He b lines the wrong way down a one way street to avoid giving a freebie. The hungry cnut.

There hasn't been a bit of a barney around here in ages. Was getting a bit boring tbh. Nice one lads!

Also if anyone is looking for an alternative to sumup I use cabapp and have not had any problems yet.
Would you ever Fook off with that dinosaur cab-app yoke, astronomical fees and needs to be charged every few days !
Bollocks on that !!
Astronomical yeah, €1.06 extra in every €100. Paid by card in the airport at 5am, cash in bank when I get up in the afternooon.

Just got an email saying I'd turned on invoices! At this rate, SumUp will be driving my taxi by the end of the week  :P

And probably spending my money too  ::)
