Why bother to fix something that ain't broken...
Sum up works just fine fer me (1.42% commission) paid within a few days,
the card reader lives in the center consul and takes usually less than a minute to process a card.
Why fix what is not broken ?
I've been trying to figure out why Sumup have shoved this down our throats without any finesse. And it seems to me that they're trying to steal business customers with 1,000's going through their accounts from the traditional banks. Previously, money went direct from Sumup to client bank account. Now it goes from Sumup to Sumup Mastercard
and we have to take another step to get the money into our bank account. Sumup must be hoping bigger customers will make the Sumup Mastercard their default bank account. If so, it's free for now but fees will definitely be coming and they'll also be forced down our throats!
So you read your business emails because you don't want to hear about them secondhand on here. Yet you come here for advice.
.......I dont waste my time reading E mails I get 100 of them .......
So do I and I seldom read any of them, except the ones that relate directly to the business that I am employed in. I would rather read those emails myself than hear about them second hand on here.
RC's advice wasn't too definitive on the pros & cons of the mastercard - he just said he didn't want another mastercard.
No. I'm OK waiting for a few days. I don't do much card work or much work at all, to be honest... and I don't need another Mastercard.
This change was a major change from Sumup and auto enrolling every single customer with a new debit card is hardly good business practice. And the opt-out info was well hidden down the bottom. There should have been several emails like a countdown and also emphasizing how to out-out if we wanted. I don't see how this benefits anyone except Sumup themselves. Alternatively they should have given these mastercards to NEW customers and see how it worked out over a couple of months before forcing it down our throats.
