I bought a new Carina in early 90 S from Mahony's--dealer margins in those days were up around 14% and you got 7 points for cash and extra 1% fleet discount for Taxi trade --they applied for it !
Doubt they'll be keen to do it (if its still available )once deal complete-------  maybe an enquiry to HQ saying your contemplating purchase and are there fleet discounts available ?

Sounds good Bob.I can't talk about the 2.5 Camry but no matter how drive my yoke I still get the same economy.

If you're flooring the thing it just recoups more energy when you slow down so it will still get decent economy.City driving will get the best results out of the hybrid system but they're just engineered to be frugal....like meself.

Forgot that I'm also saving on Adblue, a 1 lite per 1000km, which has doubled in price over the last year.

In California they do test them.I think there is a way it's just that so far it hasn't been a priority.

If you press down on the accelerator while the brake is on the petrol engine fires up on mine.

Other way round on my diesel Octy... i.e. pressing the brake pedal while the accelerator pedal is pressed cancels acceleration... understandably, I guess.

Yes it actually works when it's in Park position too Belker ,I forgot.But when these vehicles were first built in 1998 they were miles ahead of diesels in terms of emmisons so they weren't deemed to be a big poluter.There was a time when half of Hollywood were driving them to show their planet saving bolloxollgy side when they weren't driving their Hummers and Lambos.

I'm sure in time they'll test them eventually but petrol engines aren't big fails at the emmisons tests AFAIK.

They don't use very much juice so they can't really pollute that much.I think Toyota had some marketing shite on the back of a bus saying one diesel engined car gives out more Nox gas than 20 hybrids.Dunno how true it was.

Our diesel emmissions testing is pretty dated too, MfH. They only measure smoke hence cars with DPFs removed can still pass.
