A garda is to face a criminal prosecution over his driving in relation to an incident in which three men were killed in a collision on the N7 in Dublin two years ago while fleeing from gardaí.

A sitting of Dublin District Coroner's Court heard that the DPP has directed that a garda involved in the pursuit of the three males, who were members of a Tallaght-based criminal gang that specialised in burglaries, is to be charged with a driving offence.

The three victims were killed instantly when their BMW vehicle burst into flames following a head-on crash with a truck on 7 July 2021 while they were driving on the wrong side of the carriageway.

The career criminals weren't forced to drive up onto the N7 & drive the wrong way with no lights on!  The scumbags in the area had been using that tactic for months and the Guards knew it as well.  The Guards didn't follow them up on the N7 afaik.

You'd feel sorry for the Guards - they must have no motivation to do their job when shite like this pops up.  I hope the Guard gets off but he'll have 2 or 3 years of hell while this is going on.

Here's something to think about...

What's the point in the cops chasing another car if they have no mechanism to stop the vehicle except to ram it.I don't know if I could safely ram a car off the road without killing a pedestrian or the occupants.They shouldnt be allowed to drive like cunts just because they wanna keep up with someone.Most of them aren't trained.It's not like the US where they have wide verges to push the bogeys off the road.If any of those lads drove into your taxi and caused damage you'd be waiting a long long time for the money.

I was walking home from the pub a few years ago and I counted 14 cop cars chasing one car through my area.Some of the Audi jeeps were going so fast their wheels lifted as they came over Fassaugh bridge.It was like something out of the old Dukes of Hazard show.Never seen anything like it.Next day I checked the news and nothing.Half of them are only uniformed joyriders.In it for the wrong reasons.

I remember they chased that Bird from Coolock down the 50 must of been 30 Cars .Lads going for a Jolly .There must be some serious issue that they dont want to cover up .That Garda probably has an issue with the Super .When the Garda Murdered the Young lad in Lucan Village driving home Drunk they covered that up no problem .
