The link posted should work for everyone... if it works for anyone that is!
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Have to laugh at their suggestion that it's the nasty hotels who are responsible for the hospitality charge and it's not a kickback from FN to them!

Bertie Ahern, Charlie Haughey, and Michael Lowry didn't take bribes, they merely accepted hospitality from wealthy individuals.

Same with the Airport, MMW. The halfwits that queue for 20+ mins at quiet times to pay car park fees on top of 15% commission are the same halfwits who complain about DAA maintaining regulated rank access.... and the same halfwits will be queuing up to buy permits which will allow them pay 25% commission (in the fullness of time) to a third party to access DAA work. Someone in DAA is laughing all the way to the biscuit tin.

Despite opting out I still get offers from pubs/hotels. I took one by accident on March 9th and, as I was beside it and it was going from Clonshaugh to Howth, I decided to cover it... believing that I wouldn't be charged the extra commission. Long story short I was charged €2.00 and given a credit of €0.46. How does that reconcile? I have asked the depot (as below) but am I missing something?

Web mail to the depot:

Statement ****-*******

Date 10/03/24

Period 04/03/24 - 10/03/24

Hi,

With reference to the above invoice I note that I was charged €2.00 for "Hospitality Charge Ireland". I opted out of hospitality jobs some time ago, something that was confirmed within a subsequent survey telephone call from the depot so I don't understand how such a charge could arise. However, the same invoice shows a "Hospitality Rebate" in the amount of 46c.
I would be obliged if you could explain how the charge reconciles with the rebate and, for future reference, what definition you apply to the term "opt out"?

Your attention to the same is very much appreciated and I look forward to your response.

Regards,

Stephen O'Connell.

Isn't there a VAT rate of 23% and 46c is 23% of €2?  Now why they'd refund you the VAT, if that's the reason, is another question...

Possibly. Haven't got a reply from the depot yet anyway.
