I think I've narrowed down the problem to 'Android Auto' and the car. Android Auto (

) being a Google product wants to be on all the time and suck in all my personal info. Basically, when you plug an Android phone via USB cable into a computer (or my car as it turns out), the phone asks you if you want to just connect for the charge or do 'data transfer' as well. Because of my computer habits, I was choosing 'data transfer' when I connected my phone to the car power supply via USB.
And this is when Google's Android operating system and

lost the run of themselves and repeatedly started

without my permission. Even if I switched

off in the car, it would try and re-connect a few seconds later...
So the solution in my case seems to be:
(a) connect the phone/FN wirelessly with no USB cable but then the battery drains or;
(b) connect via USB and only connect for the charge. Then

doesn't connect and fuk up the FN connection.
I never liked

before and this just increased my antipathy towards it

I'd spit on it only I'd be spitting on my own car
