Just booked my sealing appointment for 5th Dec at the ungodly hour of 08:30  - which was the only available slot at Northpoint (Ballymun)... so I'll have to stay illegal 'till then, I guess.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Same date as myself, even if they make a Bollix of the reprogramming on 1st Dec then we can reschedule the reseal fer Free on Mon 2nd Dec.

But I booked my appointment (*as advised to all) a month ago fer the more convenient time of 3.15pm.

* The waiting list fer reseal appointments will be long after the meters are reprogrammed in November but you can book your reseal appointment today fer a date in December, Meter Seal 01 4135951

I booked mine in today fer Dec 5th, cost €90.41 and there were lots of dates and times to choose from.

To hazard My own semi-educated 'Wild Guess' at the 2024 increases, because it is not exactly calculable as no 2 fare's go the same distance;

Tariff 1 got a 2.5% increase.
Tariff 2 got a 6.5% increase.
All New Weekend Tariff 3 got a 21% increase from the former Tariff 2.

2.5% + 6.5% + 21% = 30%, Divide by 3 = 10% (or as NTA stated 9-11%) overall increase.
On looking at my pretty close Guess-work of what the fare increase will mean to Day drivers, the €240 charge fer the meter change-over is gonna take a long time fer the Day drivers to recoup.

Day drivers make it back on the PUC in a few weeks or more depending on how much they work apps.I'd say a lot of us are doing at least ten app jobs a day. Also some day drivers are out at 6am so they'll get the extra Tarrif 2 for a bit.

I'm fairly indifferent to this rise but I won't be getting the update until after Christmas.I will be adding the extra PUC euro on my current tariff when I get back from the holidays.

Even if it takes a long time to recoup, it's a good idea because then the public get used to our prices going up when the cost of everything else is going up.

I'm still undecided about the 'Golden Eight' next weekend, I wonder how the customers will take to a 25% rise in the usual fare home ??

I'm contemplating dodging the more lucrative street work during the 'Golden Eight' fer the first few weeks, and instead work App Account work only during those hours as no one 'On Account' cares about the cost ..  till the next day.

Anyone know if either the ATA S01 or RS01 is the Primus mirror meter. No reply from Noel Byrne as yet?
Trump has called for help, so I'm on a plane heading for The Strait of Hormuz, talk soon.

Got my Taxitronic TX80 done in Robinsons today...Charlie was saying with the new programme that when the current till roll finishes the meter will continue to operate...he said if for any reason the last receipt can be printed by pressing ++ on the meter.

Yeah, the ATA agents have been very quiet.

ATA has been approved since 22 Nov (allegedly) --> https://www.nsai.ie/about/news/taximeter-program-update-from-the-national-transport-authority/

Also, a week ago, booked my taxi (suspension bushes?) into Oscars Garage (off Tolka Valley Rd) for tomorrow and he said he'd update my ATA mirror meter at the same time.  No mention of cost.  Probably best to leave the bill until the last moment  :'(
