It's more about inconvenience for me than cost. I'll miss my switch, no doubt about that! ....
I gave up my beautiful switch on the old Hale a few years back, I did Love both of them, but both sadly gone off to the big Meter/Switch factory in the sky.
I really hate CHANGE !!
Very unexpectantly I have taken very much to my nua Alberen mirror meter, which I had my mind set very firmly on Hating from day 1. With a birra help from SB in showing me the online user manual, which I read;
https://www.manualslib.com/products/Alberen-Itaksi-M12-10532812.htmlThe Alberen printer on the dash is a Joy, leave the cover very slightly ajar and it never prints, obviousely never volunteer a receipt but if they ask, just tap the printer cover down and press the
'Vacant' button and out it comes, if'n you make a Bollix of that, then just do it again putting the printer cover down properly next time with a tiny birra roll sticking out and press
'Vacant' as many times as you want to print more of the same receipts.
After the receipt is printed, tear it off, give it to the customer and then using two fingers pull up the roll just a tiny tad and half close the cover.
@ Stephen; It's actually easier to do than turning the old switch On/Off when you get used to it.
But I would advise practise.
