Not so bad. We're lucky the review was started before the economic recovery grew legs. Hopefully it'll be a while before it's revisited, perhaps after the next recession starts?

Won't make a difference.5% is only one question. You either know yer stuff or you don't.Splitting the modules into different exams is pointless. The industry knowledge is the easy part.

They should have left it alone though, giving in to the whining fuks at Mytaxi and other despatch companies sets a bad precident. They don't have enough drivers because the service they provide is too expensive.

Big Dommos Youngones youngfella had his Debs last Thursday he was the first one in Dommos family ever to pass the Inter Cert .He done the intercert applied .You know the one I mean, the one for thick kids just to let them say they passed some sort of test to prove that 13 years of education wasent wasted on them .Simplifying tests and exams seems to be the way we are going .Big Dommos oulfella once told me about a test he had .It was 1965 and he thought he had the pox .The pox Doctor who has an office across the road from the Rotunda Hospital gave him a test .He stuck an umberella needle up the eye of his flute now today you just piss in a bottle and the youngone in the office tests it there and then .Tests and exams just aint what the use to be .

I'm confident that it's still tough enough to keep the mongs out. They'll simplify it again in a couple of years because 75% is too high for the cabbages. The worst thing about this is most of the fleet were too busy fretting over Uber rather than make any submissions on this issue.

By the way in case ya didn't know already it has been the tougher test that has been improving our income more than any other measure. This was the one to make submission on.

They'll probably make the questions easier or make sure that a core set of questions that are known to relevant educators always appear. There's more than one way to dice a carrot.

There are a few already that come up regularly. There must have been some negotiations with the testing company.More drivers won't have to re-sit at 75% pass rate so by breaking the exam in two portions they can charge a bit more for each half.Win win for the testers.

Most of the answers are in the questions .
Q1 How do you get from Dail Eireann on Kildare Street to Arus An Uchtarain on Chesterfield Avenue ?
Q76 .On what Street is Dail Eireann
Q 94 .On what street is Arus An Uchtarain .

With drivers calling for clearer route maps on their apps why do you need to know anything about anywhere .The test should be simplified if you can use a satnav lift a suitcase and make small talk you should get a psv .

Your in a job that requires less ability than a courier .If you cant find your way you ask the passenger unlike a cardboard box that cant direct you .The real idiots in this game are the ones who think that they are somehow special  .

I'm not special just better prepared for my job than you are.Lads like you aren't cut out for self employment ,that's why there should be minimum standards for drivers.Too many pot washers not enough Chefs....

If they allow primary kids who can't read or write "graduate" into second level...why not let fellas who drive a car for reward think they're special too? Yrs ago "special" meant slow or retarded...pity it had to be finessed up into a form of achievement.

I don't think small talk ought to be mandatory, erm. Some clients prefer awkward silence, others want to work/think, etc...

Rodent .If you score 100% on the industry part of the test because you know what sticker goes where or what window you can tint or how many lego bricks you can fir in the boot of an occy .Does that count for 50% of the overall mark meaning that a 50% pass rate on the geography test will get you a pass or do you need to achieve 75% in each part of the test .
