I wonder why the difference in recommending the app - 74% to other drivers and 82% to passengers?
Getting old is compulsory whilst growing up is voluntary.

I wouldn't believe anything that comes out of Mount street at this point. The last survey they sent me I got 3 times at weekly intervals.Bill probably spends his days filling out surveys to skew the results so they show that they're trying.

Ok my review What a shambles it was simple create an app that lets a driver and a passenger engage give the option to pay by app and incorporate a good location and destination finder .No need to reinvent the wheel just copy UBER .

What we got is an app that is rickety a stupit system that grades drivers and offers the job to the highest graded driver and not the nearest so the customer waiting time increases and drivers are discouraged from working a familiar plot or establishing a plot as he cannot be sure he will get the job even if he is parked outside the venue .A ridiculous pre booking system that requires the driver to be idol for a considerable time so he can be available to cover the prebooked job that probably would of gotten covered any way if it was a regular hail .

Now no company in the history of this industry has gotten more good will from drivers just to keep it simple and copy the UBER app .Im sure plenty of overpaid egotists in Mount Street are masterbating each others egos telling each other how great they are and how great they have done building this up from nothing .Well lets consider how bad the app is and how much we the drivers paid for it in good will we never even got a drivers representative on the board .For 5 years we did not charge the PUC have you ever put a value on that .IF they cover 4 million jobs per year that is a contribution by drivers of 8 million in unimposed PUC that is a total of FOURTY MILLION EUROS in good will from drivers to this app and all we wanted was they duplicate the UBER app because IT WORKS .Then add in a good will value for waiting time that went uncharged say THREE MILLION  .So in reality drivers have contributed FOURTY THREE MILLION EURO of good will in the hope that a decent working app that offered the job to the nearest available driver would be developed .They can update all they like UBER will have another go at the irish taxi market and considering how much money we have gifted this app Im going to throw 50 at the lad from Whistle. The bar is not set that high so  he might just succeed .

Not convinced about The Whistler, when they start sending out texts warning against using other apps...that's a fail imo,i'm too old and grumpy for that bollox,
I'm in agreement with the nearest taxi should get the job,i've said in another post that i'm at pains to tell passengers why they're waiting longer for their taxi these days,i'm sure if passengers contact them the MyTaxi team will spin them a different tale.

The priority system worked to a point as they needed to encourage service at peak times, ideally on a commercially viable basis - i.e. without paying bonuses. However, mytaxi has to some extent become a victim of it's own success insofar as more and more drivers are concerned at relying too heavily on it hence they don't necessarily want superior status.

I'd be concerned that Whistle seems to believe that it can only succeed by directing threats at drivers / it's competitors (products). In app comments from management suggested a hugely successful launch despite the negative feedback on the toy shops so why such a lack of confidence in it's ability to compete?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
