GAA  Dublin -3 @10/11 V Mayo .Mayo are down about half a dozen of their first choices as they are probably Dublins main opposition I think the Dubs will try to put manners on then and a good hammering to destroy their confidence for the championship 10/11 looks fair value for the event and double it up with England for the slam. 1/4 Ireland to beat Wales looks well under priced you cannot beat passion and tradition with posh schoolboys I think we will struggle against Wales and Johnny Sexton will struggle most

A better bet might be Ireland fer the Slam at 11/4 with LawBreakers or Bar-One racing, taking it that
they can easily over-come those Two minor obstacles, you will be left with a handy docket of 11/4 about
Ireland on match day, and Match day being Paddies day, it is never recommended to bet against the Irish
on Paddies day !

If'n we had put our minds together John M then we would be sitting pretty now,
looking at our docket of Six'n'a'bit to One about Ireland fer the Slam !
Which is now 7/4.

Ladbroke offer Ireland @ 2/5 tomorrow against Wales which is an even better offer than the exchanges.

All the others followed the Ladbroke 'Magic sign' lead, Boyles even if pushed it out to 4/9.

Irish teams traditionally make hard work of everything and IF Scotland
beat us and then get the bonus point in their last game against de I'ties,
that will see them sitting nicely on 17 points.

If England win their last Two matches without the bonus point,
then it's a draw at 17 points each.
If England lose or draw in France and then beat Ireland, Scotland win.

Thank you Mr. MyTaxi fer that really lovely job yesterday afternoon.

I collected Two lads off the Grand Parade in Cork on a MyTaxi job just after the Irish rugby match had kicked-off,
we all listened to the first half of the match on the car radio along their 35km journey out to Ballymaloe house,
we arrived in Ballymaloe house at half-time in the game, the lads paid me 54Euro fer listening to the match.
I thanked them sincerely and listened to the second half of the game on the way home.

The English had the Charge of the Light Brigade as their Glorious failure Irish Sport is full of Glorious failures I still wouldn't back Ireland for the slam.When you  hear Aideen or Bronagh commenting on Jonners kicking style or lamenting that Dricco has retired you are betting on a fashion parade not a sports team .

Na it was only small had 80 euro on the dubs and a score double with england for the slam won less than 60 .If I stayed out of the bookies I wouldnt of picked up my non payer so wouldnt of got pissed off would of stayed out might of made more .

I do take it easy Hal Our kid is going back to work so Im going to mind my Grandaughter 5 mornings a week Watch Cartoons read The Cat In The Hat Books .Beats the alternative like my old man did Standing in a Hole full of muck shoveling water out to lay Pipes or cables .Im 56 semi retired I thought about going back to the Grind but as the Rodent says .Im only kidding myself .Mentally I retired years ago when I realized there are two types of people .The more you have the more you want type or just make do with what you got type Im the latter .

Have to agree John,i'm probably in the latter aswell,been saving for the kids since they were born,it'll see them through college (with their own little jobs for socialising) so i won't be borrowing fukall,the missus works(jobshares) so that helps a lot,i'll be happy to work only 3 or 4 nights in the next few years...i've stopped working till 5-5.30 in the morning at weekend for a good while now,generally on the M1 by 3am,the new 1600 can take over that role...but i fuckin doubt it!!

 We are similar Kids got a start now its my time .Left school went to work went back to school still to thick to listen .A lot of times no work so spent quality time with the kids when they were growing up .I feel distressed when I talk with young people who work their bollox off get up early morning to drop the kids off at the minders struggle to pay for childcare house car just to try to give their kids a head start so they can have kids and pay the minder and struggle .They dangled the carrott and we fell for it .Everybody thinks they can write a book .I was going to have a go .I was doing research and came up with My generation of working class people were probably the first generation who saw education third level as a way to advance yourself my old man would of encouraged me to get a good full time pensionable job something like the Corpo or the Civil Service now the kid in the ripped skinny genes is studying Gyroscopic Engineering or the History of Art in Trinity before he gets a job as a deputy manager in Lidil  Education is now a commodity sold to us by colleges most of it wont get you a job wont get you a decent wage .I probably learned more on here and Roys than I ever learned in School but the big lesson that todays kids need to learn is Life is Funny enjoy it .I see so many worrying about property ladders and superficial crap .What have we done to our kids .We have denied them the life we had by promoting a different kind of life we know nothing about .
