Furthermore, if you continue to the end of the sentence you will get to a, perhaps, more substantial point i.e. Dave's in-depth knowledge of the effectiveness of various items of expenditure relative to both strategic and tactical objectives:
Strategically, we know Hail0 was still attractive to Daimler despite not having a pot to piss in.
Tactically, we know Hail0 was successful (at least in terms of market penetration) in some jurisdictions, notably Ireland and Spain (rather like the Kinahan Crime Cartel!) and we know that mytaxi (pre-merger) was successful in a lot more jurisdictions. Knowledge of the relative pre-merger tactics of both firms is therefore invaluable.
