Dunno about the shame bit ken, having a thressomes is a badge of honor these days, one if not all will end up as a porn star now.

What If I had 3 Auld wan's giving me 'Grief' in the cab some night (which is pretty regular) and I took exception to their comments and also to their leaving me short a few Euro on the fare, so I decide to myself 'I'll fookin get them'.

The next day I head to the Garda H.Q. looking fer the Rape crisis division and make up this marvellous story about how the 3 Auld wan's had dragged me out of my cab, held me down and analy raped me with a beer bottle. The story is perfect, I even have the beer bottle that One of them brought in to the cab with her fingerprints on it and I shoved it up me Jacksie fer good measure to the DNA guys.

I wonder would I as the male defendant be named ? Or more importantly would the 3 Auld wans, the Accused be named ?

You are comparing apples with oranges, in your scenario it would already be accepted that the ladies pleasured you analy with a bottle.. the similarity would be in deciding if was consensual.

It would be highly unlikely that the ladies would be found guilty, especially seen as how I made up the whole story.

What does interest me is whom would or would not be named before, during or after the trial ?

what i cannot understand is, why were there protests ? the jury unamiously found the lads not guilty in a very short time i might add, so why were there protests ? were the protesters saying the verdict was wrong ? were they calling the integrity of the jury into question ? were they trying to say the jury were nobbled ? did they never consider the verdict was correct, and no rape took place ?

You probably remember the infamous horse stealing trial back in the days of the Irish R.M., DM. A likeable character was charged with stealing a horse, a hanging offence at the time. When the Juy returned from deliberations the foreman asked the judge if they could find him not guilty if he gave the horse back, they judge said they couldn't and sent them out for further deliberation. On their return the foreman announced the verdict - "not guilty... and he can keep the horse, your honour".
