Email from mytaxi:

Hi Stephen,

We’re very sorry to inform you that there was an issue processing Driver payments last night. We submitted payments as usual on Thursday 19th April but unfortunately there was an error by our banking partner Bank of Ireland which resulted in payments not processing to Driver accounts.

Since early this morning we have been working with Bank of Ireland to resolve the issue and have made an urgent Payment from our account to all Drivers. This means you will receive your weekly payment one working day later than usual based on which bank you are with.

We realise this is not acceptable and would like to sincerely apologise for the inconvenience that this will cause you. A full investigation is being made into the cause of the error to ensure it does not happen in the future.

As you know during yesterday's weekly payment run with Bank of Ireland we encountered an issue that has caused a delay to the payments cycle. This morning we were able to successfully process an urgent payment to all drivers on mytaxi but unfortunately a delay of one working day is still expected.

We completely understand how unacceptable it is that this has occurred and would again like to apologise for the inconvenience caused.

To illustrate how seriously we view incidents such as this we’ve decided to make all jobs this Saturday the 21st of April 100% commission free.     
        
How does it work?

Every job you complete between 12:00am Saturday morning until 11:59pm Saturday night will be 100% commission free.
You will be paid for the commision owed in your next weekly statement.
 
Thank you for your patience and understanding on this matter. We are putting processes in place to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

What about those of us that didn't work yesterday, we're left out of pocket yet it's the depot that's responsible for the payroll error.

Agreed, I gain nothing out of others getting commission free work, even though I was effected too. It’s obviously just to get people to work around the game, a fairer recompense would have been to give every driver their next 10 jobs commission free... but obviously fair play is not on the agenda.
