naw rat your mixing it up with  willie mcbride
Don’t you mean Green Fields Of France???

You're both right.

However there were many Willie McBrides and probably almost as many relevant commemorative songs/poems. Both Nationalists and Unionists saw the potential for political capital in supporting the crown during WW1 as implementation of home rule had been suspended for the duration. Both the 16th Irish Division and the 36th Ulster Division suffered significant losses at the Somme, for example. Depending on your viewpoint the UVF - which essentially comprised the 36th although, strange as it may seem, there were some "Sinn Feiners" among them - were ultimately rewarded with the 6 counties or were robbed of 3 counties for their efforts.

Simple explanation .The Brits think if they are out of the EU that they will do better economically as they can do trade deals with the rest of the world on their terms and not the EUs .But the problem is they want to continue doing tax free trade with the rest of the EU without paying the entry fee or sticking to the rules .The EU are going to Crucify Britain ,if they let them do what they want then ,Germany and France and Italy will also leave .When the Brits leave we are fucked more than half of our food and drink exports go to Britain and a lot passes through Briton .So after the Brits leave the WTO rules apply to them that means they have to pay and charge duty on imports and exports so Irish milk and meat will be to expensive so British Farmers will grow more to fill the gap .This will apply to all sorts of stuff if we import from the UK we will have to charge them the WTO tarriff so food and anything we import from them will be more expensive .IF or WHEN the Brits leave  if its a hard Brexit we will be bankrupt in three months unless the ECB or IMF bail us out AGAIN.

People beginning to wake up IMF say we will need another bailout after a hard Brexit .The Gay Foreigner thinks we should stockpile drugs just in case. As I said before GET A GUN reduce your debt and if you can get a 9 to 5 minimum wage public service job .

Brexit will not happen.
Well certainly not in the timeframe that's being bandied about,
I've had passengers...mostly foreign...ask how will brexit affect me.....i just say....haven't a fukin clue....cos the politicians can't even agree on a strategy....it's all ifs, buts and maybes....what's their latest mantra..."nothing is agreed till everything is agreed,
@ermy....John,you can pull as many ifs, buts, ands and maybes out of your own hole...and i have no doubt some of them will materialise....cos you seem to cover every possible base with your theories...and then you'll tell us you told us so!!

Brexit WILL happen and the reason is simple its the return to the old order the aristos now called bankers own everything the middle class now called managers run it for them and the working class now called them lot pay for everything .Before 1900 the working class owned nothing only their muscel power and Dicks which gave them the ability to breed more workers we are going back there nobody can afford a home .This generation for the first time probably in modern history will be poorer than their parents .That Divide is Huge in Britain ,Notyhren England or Jeremy Kyle Country is nearly as poor as rural India .Look at European History over the last 100 years .Russian Revolution,Spanish Civil War ,Bosnia ,Britain has been a reasonably stable country since Cromwell its just its their time for a revolution .Human Nature insists on turmoil to evolve .GET A GUN .

Need to replace the car , Big difference in what you spend if your doing full time or part time .With cost of vehicle ,Fuel ,Insurance you cant really survive part time and I dont have the patience to sit on Heuston for an hour for a tenner or pay 12% commission on a 7.20 fare .As long as I keep the car and licenced I can always give up the day job if it dosent suit .
