FIFA most likely had the best intentions in the world offering the boys free tickets to the world cup final in 9 days time, but if'n that news has filtered through to the boys then it might not help matters, any teenage boy in that cave will now push his rescuers to dive just so as he can be at the world cup final, I know I would if'n I was of that age.

Whats your call Bubba, dive or stay ?
I`m glad it`s not my call Ken. There`s a lot of info that`s not in the public domain, cave diving is more dangerous than open water diving by a factor of 10. I was a mixed gas qualified diver and an instructor and I can tell you straight, this is a "fucked if you do,fucked if you don`t" type of call. Hopefully ,as I said earlier, the "Navy Seal`s" egos don`t rule the decision making process (one dead already, R.I.P.), the best men to run this are the British divers that found the lads.
I know it's not your call Bubba and even more glad that it's not mine.
Are you saying 'Dive' but with a Rick Stanton led (non-US) team ?

P.S. Thanks fer all the very insightful diving knowledge.

Stanton and the lads have been involved in numerous rescues and recoveries. They have the experience and know how to make the hard call. The Thai`s should bring all the relevant info to them to assess and then follow their lead. They may not have the foolproof solution but it will be the best available if extraction under water is the call. When folk read "Navy Seals" , they think the best of the best, the reality is while they may be OK to do what they need to do in the sea, I`d hazard a guess that of each 100 "Navy Seals" there, they`d be lucky if 1 was a fully certified experienced cave diver. When I was diving you wouldn`t get me into the mouth of a cave never mind explore one. I wasn`t trained in cave diving. Cave diving isn`t high on Navy Seals skillset requirements.

I was Gung-ho fer diving a few days ago but after Saman Kunan's death yesterday (RIP), and your explicit diving posts, I too have no idea what the call is. Fook only knows what will happen in that cave in the coming weeks as regards oxygen, air pressure, flood waters and whatever de Fook else Mother Nature throws at them.

Qualified or Non-Qualified it's a terrible call that someone has to make and make it very shortly, Monsoon rains are due tomorrow.
It's a High stakes game of Russian Roulette. My prayers are with the Boyz.

They might not have a choice whether to wait or not as one report  I heard said there's a lot more rain forecast and there's a huge risk of the caves being swamped completely so their hand might be forced into a dive.

The mooted earlier idea of the capsule has not been mentioned since the first day so mustn't be feasible.

One child by one with a Pro diver(s) with each looks the most likely.

We all can feel the emotion around this, particularly any of us thar would have children of that age.good intentions are not really much help, but those poor boys are never far from my thoughts, and prayers.no doubt I speak for us all on here when I say our thoughts and prayers are with them, and their families.I watched the boys in the cave on TV. They obviously dont have a clue of the seriousness of the situation.I suppose maybe the best thing for us all is to stay positive, and believe that the operation to get them out will be a total success
